theres going to be a similer scenario tonight for the same place with blizzards north of M4 but it will occur in the early hours rather than rush hour. but it comes too early in the winter and it will only settle temporily cuz the ground is too warm/wet.
I remember living just 13 miles south of London and when the school bell rang we were all told that we were to sleep overnight at the school because of potential flooding rain so anyway being the weather it snowed all night long school was off but with no transport uh-oh so everyone was ringing up their parents and then there was a massive hold... Finally!
It had rained heavily here (Gloucestershire) for a few hours, then the wind picked up and it turned to heavy snow.
Even though all surfaces were wet from the rain the snow was so heavy it stuck to everything really quickly. With the wind it turned into a blizzard and was awful to be out in.
Yes I agree.Just returned from our apt in Calahonda. For 10 days it rained, thundered, Lightening, Windy. With hardly anybody around it was like a ghost town. Not very pleasent at all
I moved to Spain to get away from British weather but this last week makes me wish I was back! It never snows here and winter isn't even all that warm.
