  • @BudgieBamBand First of all, have you seen their videos?? Their birds are constantly outside of their cages playing. Second of all, He's not going for 'tips', hes showing his cockatiel's cage set-up. Did you see the video title, or are you blind?

  • What is the name and brand of this cage?i live im the uk so i cannot buy from you.;)

  • can u plz make a vid on how to make the wacky ball my cage needs more colour

  • wheres that cage from?

  • i have the same exact cage for my cockitails!!!!

  • extremely social bird!!!!!

  • how much does it cost pr month to care for a cockatiel with food and toys and all

  • @zabberen lawl lets just say food isnt too expensive probably about $30 a month at MAX. Newspaper at the bottom of the cage? Free basically... Toys? 2-3 to start, then buy 2 more and revolve every 2 weeks so First month's toys about $50 after that buy a new toy every month so about $10. Cage = $60-$300 (your choice) Cleaning? If you buy poop off? which is un-needed if you put newspaper and clean every other day so FREE! Water = Free!

    Food: $20-$40

    Toy: $50 + $10x

    Cage: $60-$300

  • Do u sell mini whacky munchy balls?

  • Wow, I'm always impressed how imaculate you cages look, I have been blessed with the messiest fids! xoxo

  • how do get your cockatiel to trust you or just get on your finger... and how long should i wait before i try to let em out of his cage, i just got him today i need help...

  • COOL CAGES!!!

  • Hi im getting a handfed cockatiel next week and i have a cage that is 22x18x19 1/2. I'm planning to get a bigger cage but do you think that size would be okay for a while?

  • @twilightpony223 ur cage is perfect (: but next time look for a taller cage, the higher they are the happier they are however i heard that cockatiels also like to wander amongst the ground. However a wider and a taller cage is always better because they like spreading their wings especially if you rarely take your birds out.

  • @TheCrazzMc Dont worry, they have full run of my room, If you want to see my cage just go on my channel. The vid should be there :)

  • Get ready i visited your site and get ready for a 100 to 150 dollar deposit :)

  • i noticed on top of your boing, that on the mini wacky munchy bar, theres a key? i thought metal wasnt good for birds to chew on.

  • @kader3kad no that isnt okay the cage is too small, you have to buy TWO birds because cockatiels and oth ler birds get lonely very quickly. the cage have to be 1m x 2m x 1 x (width; lenght; high)

  • Can you make a video of how to do homemade toys ? :D

  • Wow how sweet, It's great to see that I am not the only one who spends a bundle on my birds! They are the most loving beautiful pets in the world!! Thanks for sharing this!!

  • Wow, I wish I was a bird at your house! It's paradise! :D

  • i have the same cage . i have parakeets in mine. the cage i have doesn't have a grate . i let my birds eat their millet on the cage floor . my has a long rope perch 4 my budgies.

  • haha i love how u talk

  • also is plastic dangerous to tiels?

  • Cool cage

  • Where did you get that cage? (I'm in CA)

  • isnt it dangerous to give straws to cockatiels?

  • @lindasamu No.

  • @stargazrt4 do cockatiels make better pets than lovebirds?

  • @blowgunking1994 Depends on the bird, depends on the owner.

  • @blowgunking1994 hi i am hopefully going to buy a cockatiel and just wanted to get some info on them

is this cage size ok for one:

    Height: 76.0 cm

    Width: 52.0 cm

    Length: 41.0 cm

and what age should i get one for a first time buy please reply thanks

  • Please help! I just ourchased anothjer tiel from a petstore. He's still a baby but isn't tamed. I purcahsed him so that he would be able to keep my other tamed tiel busy when i'm not home. How should i introduce the two and how can i tame him!? Please reply back!

  • @brianvelasquez keep the newone in isolation for 36 days, in case its sick. then, if you have an entire day, you should put the new one in with the old one. see if they get along. if you don't have that time, them you should introduce them outside the cage.

  • what is the cage's brand ? blue ribbon pet or what ? thanks :)

  • omfg i wish i had enough room in my house for a cage like that! maybe when we move and dont have that many cats around :P thats amazing though!! i just bought my little boy a new cage and i got that rope pirch thingy and we both love it!

  • In the wild, these beautiful beings are never alone, and if they are separated for even a moment, they call wildly to their flockmates.

  • It's nice to see they're well taken care of. I have a blue crown conure named Ava.

  • Aww, Ashlee's adorable! And I love the set-up of her cage; very nice.

How much would you say you spent on Ashlee? (All her toys, her cage, food dish, food, etc.)

I'm interested in maybe purchasing a Cockatiel sometime, and would really appreciate the advise.

Also, which sex, in your opinion, is better? (Boy, or girl?)

    Thanks! XD

  • @controlchick New Kings Cage (check out the new video!) $250, toys and extras: $100, playgrounds: $50-$75. I actually like boys better. They are outgoing, happy go-lucky people pleasers where girls can be little moody, but cuddly, divas.

  • @stargazrt4 i just trained mine, and now she is the sweeest thing you ever could meet!

  • @stargazrt4 I live in an appartment, and I'm thinking of getting a cockatiel this spring. I need a cage that doesn't take up alot of space but comphortable for the bird, and easy to clean. What type of cage do you recommend?

  • @controlchick i have that same cage for my cockatiel, it previously housed my parakeets,I bought the cage at petsmart for $150.00.. last i looked they were having a sale on them tough.

  • ive got the exact same cage but with white bars

  • @bilaremix

okay but if i even put my hand in the cage, they start going crazy and start hissing

    isnt that a bad sign?

  • I'm getting this cage for my Quaker!!! :)

  • @Scorpicory I dont think they bite.. but i wouldnt really know because i have never touched them.. and i've had them for almost 3 months now.

we still let them out only sometimes and they barely ever fly around, but they sit on the top of the cage..

if they DO bite, will it hurt ? cause theyre fully grown cockatiels..

and how do i start getting attached to them ? like where should i begin?

  • @atiasyed6

they dont bite hard if you put your finger next to them, but if you hold it and he/she dosent like it then they might bite hard. But if you want it to step up just push your finger on his/her belly and they will loose balance and would have to step up.

  • mine one likes tissue e.o

  • my cockatiel doesnt even touch her toys, maybe like once a month.

  • @infernofia Then that is once a month she is entertaining herself.

  • i have 2 cockatiels that i got about a month ago

but all of us are too scared to even go near it.. only because we're scared that they might bite and because of their huge nails..we open the cage for them and they come out but they only fly when no one's around and if we ever do come near them, they start to go crazy..

how do we get over the fear of trying to hold them?

  • By forming a relationship with them.

  • @atiasyed6 everytime u go near them and they start to scream just stop moving until they stop screaming and then get closer. once they start screaming stop moving. and keep on doing this until you get the cage open. once u open the cage and they start screaming, then stop moving. then, once they stop screaming, if ur brave enough, stick ur hand in their cage and if they start screaming stop moving. and so on and so fourth. if it does bite u, dont punish it cuz this will encourage more biting. =)

  • @atiasyed6 I have never seen a biting cockatiel. Yes, they "attack", however, its like a puppy-dog.. no harm intention. There is absolutely no reason for being scared by your cockatiel. You should start to clicker with them. I have my cockatiel now for 1 month, and he has never bitten me...

  • @atiasyed6 u need to tame them, buy a book a cockatiels, it will help. Don't be scared of there bite, only a month old...won't hurt. nails never hurt.

  • @atiasyed6 cockatiels dont bite that hard i think budgies hurt worse

  • ru inside the cage?????

  • @jenna364 Looks like it, but I am not.

  • ashlee's cute!

  • my cockatiel has a little spot on the top of his head with no hair ..do you know why??

  • Yes, genetic defect caused by breeders in the 50's.

  • Hi!

  • No.

  • what style cage is the best for a cockatiels

  • Huge! So they can fly in it. Get one bigger than this one!

  • how do you make the mini wacky munchi ball? I'd like to try and make one! Your cockatiel's cage is bigger than my cockatiels cage....I would like to upgrade to a larger one sometime in the future (even though it's a cockatiel cage, it now looks too small now, after viewing this video).

  • That is amazing! i will totally keep your setup in mind... im getting a large cage tomorrow and am really looking forward to revamping my babies cage.. thanks for the video!

  • Awesome! We actually have a cage two times bigger for her, but she HATES it. Oh, she is our little princess. Good luck spoiling your babies!

    ~Rodney

  • those are wonderful toys! where did you get them?

  • We made most of them.

  • holy crap thats an awesome cage setup, very friendly cockatiel aswell btw, good job spoiling them theyre obviously important to u : )

  • i have this cage but my bird just sits there do cockatiels like foriging toys

  • Yes, but her cage is much bigger now so she has more room.

  • that bird is spoiled

  • i have a cockatiel named boomer, she only eats her seeds but no veges, ill give her apple bits carrots corn kiwi(ect)but she wont eat it any tips?

  • Try nutri-berries and avicakes.

    ~Rodney

  • u got it from petsmart didnt you? i saw the same one, i wwaas gonna get it.

but, PETSMART is cruel, and kills hundreds of animals purposelly.

  • There are other places to get this cage than Petsmart. We do not buy retail anymore.

    ~Rodney

  • That is the perfect cage...where did you get it? (Or who makes it?) Thank you very much!!

  • alsome cage how do u make the toys? i tried making a toy 4 my Cockatiel but he won't play with it what should i do?

  • i hv tht cage but it is massive n heavy lol i onli gt it toda second hand so it needs cleaning but it will be lovely wen its finnished lol

my bird goes crazy wen its out but i let it out anyway lol :P

  • is it normal that mine doesn't play with his toys??

  • I've got that exact cage!

You showed how it opened at the top, and that's how I have it all day everyday. (except at nights) The birds make a fuss if they can't chill out on the top!

I never knew you could do that with the door at the bottom. Cool!

  • how much will u sell one of those wacky balls because i went to you blog and u didnt sell 1

  • where did you get your cage? It's really nice looking. I need a bigger one.... By the way, would you happen to know how to get a cockatiel (that wasn't trained as a baby) to be nicer and let me pet it? I wish I could let my cockatiel out, but she always flies like a maniac and almost kills herself by hitting everything.

  • Mine does the same thing:P.

  • u guys really ispire me to breed my cockatiels aswell and buy them lots of stuff 2 play with but i am just scared that they get hurt

  • hi how much would it be if u made a playgym

  • Do cockatiels like to snugle and get pet and just chill?

  • Some do, some don't

  • I have the same cage! Just different set up.

  • how much i realy want one

  • Hi, love your cage and set up but i got a question. I just got my tiel some new toys, but its scared of them. When i put her in her cange she gets frightened and tries to fly off it. Can anyone help on what i can do? Thanks :/

  • Start with only one toy at a time near her cage on a table or chair. Then hang it on the outside of her cage and finally inside. Take it slowly. Cockatiels are naturally flighters, not fighters.

    ~Rodney

  • omg

    lots of stuff!

so spoiled lol! they got a good life =]

  • Hi I make some toys too how do you make the wakey ball I would love to know or where could I buy one.

  • What kind of cage is this and where did you get it? I need to get a cage like this! My 'tiel will only come out of the top of her cage because the doors are too small.

  • can a cockatiel and a lovebird share a cage? they are both antisocial/fear humans but their cages are right by each other.

  • No, they cannot share a cage. There would be too much aggression.

  • k thanks for the info! :)

  • Great cage and great set-up (now when people accuse us of "spoiling" our budgie, I'll know where to send them!). You never know with a cage, though, how convenient, etc. it will be for you until you really try it for a while... I especially envy the top that opens, I've never had a cage like that. Apart from the top, does it have more than one door?

  • It has a side door and the front door. We use the same cage for our breeders, and that side door is convenient for nest boxes!

  • all bird need a lot of varietys of perch and toys too chew... poor bird that have only one perch...it's animal cruelty!

  • Stargazrt4 is right - birds need a variety of perches in their cage. This is a wondeful setup for any 'tiel. Thanks for sharing!

  • ummm my bird has onley 1 perch and she always stand on it. Her feet are healthy. She has been on this perch since she was a baby. Its rocky and hard. Is is healthy

  • One perch?? That is not healthy for any bird. Birds need more than one perch and different types of perches. It is worth spending a little extra to avoid $100s down the line....

  • How come you don't like those perches?

  • Dowel perches are bad for bird's feet. If all the perches in a bird's cage are dowels, they can get a condition known as Bumble foot which can cost 100s of dollars to cure. Birds need a variety of different shaped perches and textures to keep their feet healthy!
