A really impressive game considering the release date. Actually I come back and revisit a lot of old games that I used to play as a kid. My initial fear is that they won't hold up and lose their appeal, but luckily that is not the case. While difficulty of old games in much higher than modern games, they are still playable and graphic and sounds are infinitely more charming that today ones...I apologize for rambling
I was screaming at my screen, "shoot the tower! Why doesn't he shoot the friggin tower" for a good 2 minutes. Doesn't he see the distance gauge blinking zero? Very frustrating for me:D
I loved this back in the day on my Atari 800. A simple game but with my imagination back then I made it into a wonderful adventure.
OMG totally forgot about this one and how much I loved and played this. Loved the graphics on this one. Of course it is very similar to Skyfox and the likes but still a very good game in my opinion. The sense of speed and the 3D-like effects are very nicely done.
Few similar games I remember are Buck Rogers, Battle Chopper (great animations), Sky runner, Hellfire, and of course Space Harrier and Quasar. Polaventris, maybe you thought about Star fox / Starwing but it's for SNES and Nintendo64. Stealth looks really great, I like this game. Animation of collapsing tower is excellent :). Thanks!
@BagoZonde Yeah that black tower explodig looks great! I think I might have thought of Flyerfox of which I have made a video already. Probably made me think of that game because of the airplane model in the lower middle part of the scree in Flyerfox looked bit like the spaceship in this game. You can see Flyerfox in /watch?v=HJf-mra-1-I
@Polaventris Yeah, you're right! I forgot about it! I like very much your first videos because of true machine in background :). And this is possibly only the one video where I can see your face :). I imagined you as some lumberjack with a long beard until I saw that :).
@BagoZonde I would have preferred that setup too, but it was such a pain to set up everytime to record a video and I get much better video quality with the capture device. A lumberjack? :D
@rocko7x I actually played that game way back then in local arcade. It had cool seat that moved with the steering stick which made the game much cooler than it really was.
There's Skyrim in the horizon. And the tower of Imperial City in Cyrodiil.
DAMNED THALMOR AND their STEALTH PLAINS!!!!!
