Did you know it is possible to build a full adder with only two relays? If you define "1" as a connection to +Vcc and "0" as a connection to ground (or -Vcc)
nice though you might want to make the last adder a full adder anyways because the last carry out bit is used to indicate if an over flow has occurred.
@GalaticTG well an overflow is impossible because each input goes only up to 15. Therfore the highest sum possible is 30, which fits nicely into a 4-bit adder's range of 31.
Pretty simple concept once you get your head around the adder. The harder part is the actual displaying. Which most of the time requires converting to BCD then converting to 7-segment. I thought you said "porn" not pong. I laughed haha.
To make pong, you could use 20x25 (500) LED's as the display. 2-3 LED's could represent the paddles and a single LED could represent the ball. As an interim program, you could just try to make a ball bouncing around the "screen". The snake game could be just as interesting and easier? Also, I would suggest making a transistor computer for the more complex programs (cheaper as you would need hundreds of relays for pong).
a computer that can play pong is very realistic but dont expect it to run very fast. hell its possible to build a computer that runs an accual os but like i said it will be slow as f***
@vaper192 i meant that when ur having sex ur come prematurly meaning u climax to soon its called a rectile disfunction. and trust girls like guys that can last
you have used 7 relays for a full adder... I can make it with only 5, but it's not logic-ports-based...
ahd the half adder with 2 (1 is the old type of hadder and the 2° is the inverter if you activate the B entry... because the old half adder understand only :nothing-A entry, A and B entry... so the 1st invert A and B if you activate B and notA)... i'm buying the pieces for ending it.. i have only 1 full and a half of a half adder XD...

what kind of relays did you use?

Can u make it in minecraft ?

@JamesMovingTarget yes you can but it takes up a lot of space

you and use one XOR and one AND for a half adder and 2 XOR, 2AND, and 1 OR for a full adder

why dont you use a atmega for your pong? It's a lot more fun

For a pong game you'll going to need something like 100~ relays (Based on TTL Pongs)....
That's quite a lot of relays.

I salute fellow crazy hobbyists. I haven't done anything this cool yet, but that is awesome.

Cool, I have just tried to make a full adder with diode logic but it wont work :-( I like the idea of the PONG computer... CLCLCLCLCLCLCLCLCICK...

hey can you give me a link of a plan or a tutorial, how to make this????
GermanDarknes 2 years ago
i've got a lot of project but separated...
an half adder (i've modified it because it was petty stupid with 1 relay, now you need 2)
and for a full adder you need 5 relay (double type and step-step)

Wow, this is really, really impressive.
How do the relays work as logic gates?
Good luck with your goal to make a computer that can make PONG. I'd love to do something similar as well.
