My family taped the original airing of it on TV and we still have the VHS copy...just dubbed it to DVD ♥ We also have the original of Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas with the Kermit scenes. I'm glad we taped them way back when since so many of the classic scenese are cut now

You're right. A friend of mine sent me what he thought was the original show, & the cuts were there. Yet I remember the scene with Fozzie & Snowman, watching it with my kids back in the 80's. Love this show.

This musical number with both Fozzy Bear and his Snowman should have not been deleted from it's original televised version when it was released onto VHS and DVD back in 1999.

If Disney now owns this great Christmas TV special, I hope Disney will release this uncut; with all the musical numbers and all of the scenes as it was first shown on TV back in Christmas of either 1986 or 1987.

According to Wikipedia this and other scenes from the original airing were cut because when they fillmed they oly got the rights to use the music on tellevision, not in later releases. Drat, I'd LOVE a full release. Apparently the UK release is less edited due to different laws.

I remeber taping this in christmas 1988 with all the orignal commercials, one was a lego and a classic Nabisco and more with upcoming shows whos the boss mr. belvadear. I still have it and I got to get it put on a DVD so I can watch it again
