  • Want to bet if there were a Herman Munster in reallity, he would be a Dessignated Hitter if the DH was thought of at the time the Munsters T.V. show was made, possibly with the Yankees than the Dodgers.

  • Well, They could have used Herman in The American League as a DH

  • @Airsoftcleaner Yes, all hit no field, unless there doing demolition.

  • "Where do ya want it?" LOL 2:30

Ol' Herman wouldn't hurt a fly.

  • HI! OOOPS a Daisy

  • "I don't know wether to sign him for the Dodgers or send him to Vietnam"... lol

  • He did not just say that lol

  • BLEH!!!!! I officially will NEVER watch this show again.

  • Leo always dated the best looking women in LA/NY etc., his method was to put his hand on their crotch in the first 1/h hour of a date, if they slapped him fine, date over.. but if they did not... well he was set when questioned about this he response was; "pal, you would be suprised how many famous babes did not remove my hand"!!

  • they would definitely be testing Herman for Human Growth Hormones 2day!!!

  • From :20 - :25, could imagine saying that today on TV ??? Listen for yourselves ~~~~~~ Let's just say it would go over like a snowstorm in July in PR...

  • Ouch! Wetbacks! Don't think that would fly today.

  • hmmm Hermy murdering Asians for the rich...yay yooessay

  • Hit a grounder pop!

  • Too bad they never did an episode where they actually sent Herman to vietnam...that'd have been classy.

  • @Mikeanglo Ow! stop throwing pebbles at me!

  • Following the established rules of the Munsterverse - shouldn't the accidental blow to the head at 0:37 have killed Eddie?

  • Ahhh....too bad you didn't include the second half of the tryout when everyone started quitting on him.

  • I LOL everytime i watch this ok

  • I LOL everytime i watch this

  • Go Gus!

  • Bingo!!!! ha ha ha Herman is great

  • The Dodgers couldn't let him play because they couldn't afford the cost of the lost baseballs. One of the best Munsters episodes. I never caught the wetbacks from the petrified forest or the Vietnam lines before and I must have watched this on TV 30 times (maybe it was censored? lol), thanks for posting!

  • @verbusen There was one episode that was completely banned from TV Land called "Herman's Peace Offensive"

  • @prausch65 That is so stupid because that episode is so mild compared to the newer stuff they show on there now.

  • @prausch65 that one was great, where Eddie has that freckle faced bully and Grandpa tries to teach him to box

  • @verbusen Did anyone notice that the trees that Herman hits the ball over are the same as the ones he hit the golf ball over in Herman Munster at the Masters

  • @gatkeri He had hit the golf ball from the adjacent golf course.

  • herman played athletic sports, including baseball and golf and basketball, whereas grandpa liked playing checkers with an unseen opponent. what a difference!!

  • @fromthesidelines, L.A Dodgers have him starting tonight which is why i've gone for COLORADOOOOOOO(money-line) lol

  • Herman Munster is played by Fred Gwynne who also starred in Car 54 'Where Are You' , which he co starred with with grandpa actor Al Lewis.... both brilliant actors.

  • Mike Stanton!

  • Herman Munster ain't got shit on Mike Stanton

  • barry bonds and roger maris and babe ruth for that matter can kiss herman's ass!!!!

  • who is herman? that looks like sammy sosa to me...

  • @instasis Herman Munster appeared in this comedy series on CBS from 1965 to 1966

  • @prausch65 it was 1964-1966

  • @instasis

    LOL...the resemblance is remarkable!!!

  • @instasis LOL...the resemblance is remarkable!!!

  • "I don't know whether to sign hm with the Dodgers. or send him to Vietnam". Think how short that war would have been if they HAD sent Herman....;)

  • this is CLASSIC comedy. They DONT make them like this ANYMORE<<<

  • Yes, which is sad really.

  • I agree, the thing about the Munsters that was unique was that they not only mentioned Vietnam, they were the first to consistently mention other actors and actresses and their shows in the script. Example: "It never happens that way on The Donna Reed Show", or" Its not something that I or Agent 007 Couldn't have Whipped Up".

  • @prausch65 yea. they also mentioned the cold war ( maybe not by name ) in "herman, master spy", where herman washed up on a russian ship off the coast.

  • this is one of my favorite scenes from television period! what is also interesting about this scene is the fact that they used the word wetback in it. in addition they make a reference to viet nam which no televisions were doing, not even gomer pyle u.s.m.c. the munsters were truly on the cutting edge, and they do not get enough credit for that

  • Herman is so awesome !
