Thanks SOOO much for posting this! I've been wanting my boyfriend to see it, but he never catches it; I just think it's SO absurd that the Dr. shows her a clip of him talking on a projector! Why wouldn't HE just talk to her himself, live and in person... And is it just me or did a different illustrator draw the freaking son? lol
perfect example used for health project on drugs got my self an A+ for using anti-depressants. I found out some weird stuff about Abilify. search it up, you will be surprised.
@xanimexfaeriex...roflmao I have decided to make a robe like this. Going to look for some good craft eyes on e-bay. Anything that makes you laugh is a good thing. There are actually people wanting to ban this commercial. My God, take life a little less seriously! Then you won't need drugs like this!!!
Love :34 on detailing the possibility of "Changes in behavior with thoughts of suicide…increased risk of death or stroke…call your doctor if you have high fever, stiff muscles and confusion to address a possible life threatening condition, or if you have uncontrollable muscle movements as these could become permanent…can lead to coma or death…other risks include decreases in white blood cells, dizziness upon standing, seizures, trouble swallowing, and impaired judgment or motor skills."
I have been informed, if I am prescribed a neuroleptic drug such and I take it regularly for a few years, that I have at LEAST a 30% chance over the next 5 years of developing tardive dyskinesia, a possibly irreversible disorder characterized by abnormal involuntary movements of my face or other body parts. I have been informed that I may also suffer from other acute or chronic movement problems, such as parkinsonism, akathisia, and dystonia, and their associated unpleasant mental states.
Wow you guys really need to smoke a little weed calm down stop taking a commercial so seriously. My one year old loves this commercial. Which is all it is s commercial for some government funded drug Co. Prescription is just legal dope.
this is hilarious...!!! I don't mean to be a jerk...but people who take this commercial seriously....make me depressed.. all you need to do is get out and jog or something....play baseball....go swim.....this kind of scares me like...something from a bad movie...
@andre1onate In other words, as I did more thinking...people that need this....are being Weak!! You aint' gonna find fluff with me....why, because I Really care....in a humble way. Yeah, in a humble way. If you have a humility for living in the presence of God, you will never feel like this. Amen.
Heavens to Murgatroid! Thanks for uploading! Very interesting! I've always thought the animation used in these Abilify commercials is QUITE similar to that used in the 1994-95 Fox animated series "The Critic" (which later ran in reruns on Comedy Central).
Looking at this commercial it's kind of demonic, no matter how hard she tries to get free the robe wait around to see an entry to reattach itself and becomes unhappy when her family comes around
I feel bad that the doctor couldn't fix the robe's problems and the bitch is all like, "MY LIFE IS SO MUCH BETTER NOW." When CLEARLY the robe is the one with problems, I would say the robe has co-dependency issues.
@Kindofshyness This is the PERFECT drug commercial. I am humbled by the skill with which it was conceived and created.
Not only is it easy to watch and sympathiize with the protagonist, but it powerfully conveys the real power of inescapability of depression, thus ensuring: A) the company can't be blamed if depression comes back, B) tells patients they will always be stalked by depression (hence be customers),and even C) the contagion is also a threat to your family (more customers!) DEVILS!
@mktaylor145, Maybe, her problem isn't that she is depressed as much as she seems to be having allusions of being stalked by a robe. I never really questioned that fact that she was being harassed by the robe but, it seems to be an ongoing problem. I don't see how allusions of problematic co-dependent house coats can be cured by Abilify. However the housewife caricature on screen talking about depression and pandering the women 25-40 demographic seems to be doing a good job of explaining it.
There is an increased risk of serious, possibly fatal side effects (such as heart failure, pneumonia, stroke) when this medication is used in elderly patients with dementia. Discuss the risks and benefits of this medication, as well as other effective and possibly safer treatments for dementia-related behavior problems, with your doctor.
Translation: If you're a geriatric patient, DON'T take Abilify. It'll just speed up your death.
What is the governments problem and the pharmecutical companys??????? you know what can replace all these types of drugs is Marijuana. i dont see how they dont use it. the governments are puting bad propaganda out on it making it look like its a big threat. out of all of the money the government is puting in to fight illegal drugs 75% of the money goes to fight marijuana and 25% of it goes to the rest extacy, coocaine, herione etc.
I lmao every time I see this commercial. But has anyone seen that episode of the family guy where cookie monster was in rehab for cookies... Well this is the ending result.
@Sorakeyblademaster37 - I was going to say a more grown-up version of Belle from "Beauty and the Beast", but you're so right, I can see the Katara in her.
Yeah, I've got a serious crush on the Abilify woman. She's middle-aged hot.
This is by far some of the best 2D animation I've seen for a commercial. I hope you'll find and upload this same one but with better quality picture and audio. I would love to use this as reference for my fellow animators.
@BriceOnIce I know! It's so sad, it just wants a hug and a cookie! I just want to snuggle up with it and make it feel better, this commercial is so contradicting!
Abilify really does help for depression, at least it did from my friend who took it. Too bad she almost went into a sugar coma and has diabetes now. I guess that's why it's animated now because all the actors died from taking it.
So are they trying to say, "you will never get over depression" It will be with you everywhere you go? If she stop educating her depression she might be alright. That one child that need to be "Left Behind"
Oh No...what has this smug lady done with Abilify; she's made him so depressed, the only form he can morph into is a lounge singer's bathrobe. I think he needs to get away from those people!
Permanent uncontrollable muscle movements, seizures, two different side effects that could cause coma or death. OH and INCREASED thoughts of suicide. How is this medicine?
@BeulahBot As someone who suffers form depression I can confirm that is exactly what these ads are saying. Medication can't make it go away, only help you manage it
