Are you on a mac or a PC, because I am on a mac 13" laptop and I really want this but I don't think I can because of the graphics card so can you help me. and can you give me your specs?
@4343viking I have a Pc, it's an I7 920 3,33Ghz, 6GB RAM DDR3, Geforce GTX80, Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, Power Supply Corsair HX 1000w. There is a version for Mac, but a 13" Laptop may not be the best harwdare to run it... Anyway almost no other current simulator runs as smooth as this one!
@bob7266 - I hope you realize that while the Cessna 172 will get out of a spin without using the "control collum", certain aircraft will prove quite difficult to recover from a stall since the standard procedure (cessna or not) involves pushing forward the "control collum" as you call it. We call it yoke though. now, for the simulator. looks very smooth and promising, you seem to do a very good job and it looks like it already has certain advantages over FSX. please don't fuck it up ;) good luck
If you compare it to the other flight simulators, what is your opinion? It is actually a simulator? How are things compared to say, flight simulator series or X-plane?
@francef16 Yes, it is a simulator, focused on VFR and good feeling at the controls. I hope it will be much better in future patches and addons, it is just very young.
Is world wide scenery planned? Also, how is the systems simulation? I find most simulators neglect one of the most important parts of flight, the engine! I would be thrilled if this brought realistic engine simulation as well as instrument simulation to the game
Might I say that although the product is excellent, if you're going to market a flight sim learn how to fly it first. As a real world pilot I'd be very worried if my colleagues performed at such a low level. This is clearly shown by the fact that your stall warning horn was sounding on departure. A normal C172 will climb out at 70-80kts. The stall horn sounds at an AOA that gets you roughly 50kts which is a very unsafe climb out speed. This is just one example of this videos low quality.
@djfjdu You did not take into account... 1. This is an early version of the simulator. 2. All this is recorded live, from outer view, this is why when entering cockpit it is stalling, but inmediately is corrected. 3. You perfectly know that a Cessna stall warning can sound in a takeoff if there are windgusts 4. I don't see any videos about how perfect do you fly, mr perfection ;)
@djfjdu and... 5. If you are a real pilot, stop vanishing about it and read the tiitle of the video. See the "Test" word? Do you understand it? Ok, continue flying, mr perfection ;)
Any more news on the steam front? That would make my life a million and a half times easier! I really want to get this sim but when I go to their store page for the USA I don't see it in the product listing... please help! There are people that want to buy this but no way how!
How well does it simulate abnormal attitudes and radio navigation?
Also, it looks as good/better than stock FSX only a month after release, and I bet it's far more optimized than FSX (pretty unlikely that it isn't)
With Microsoft out of the flight simulation game, and X-Plane ten boasting some huge hardware specs and a massive file size, as well as failing in systems management and some problems with 3rd party software, this might be our next gen flight sim.
Graphics are fantastic...no more pixelated sun shadows in the cockpit....where in the hell did this sim come out of?? I just saw it today on Avsim....great job!
I added it to cart and proceded to checkout where it shows 40.00 euro for shipping to USA. Are they kidding. Do you know if it will be downloadable? Shipping cost is more than the product cost.
Nice - very realistic, although if flying coordinated stalls the real 172 shouldn't roll in a stall. Also - very detailed pilot/cockpit animation, but why no headset? I also notice your fuel selector was on the right tank, remember to select both! :)
@PeetPeeet Yes, I know, that's why I've tested it. Maybe the problem was the wind and turbulence, I have to repeat in clam contitions, but will report this to the official forum. About headset, it is strange, other pilots on other planes in this simulatoe have. About the right tank, the gauge is still not functional...
what happens if you crash-land the airplanes? is it the same as in FSX and the simulation just stops or is it more realistic? Or if you land in the mountains or something.
@pianomoe Damage model is simple, but looks like the X-Plane one; planes lose big parts, and if you go beyong Vne, some of them have structural limits, like the gliders. If you do a bad landing, the gear comes apart, will do some video about that. Saludos!
@kedrednael Yes, gliders come next, from my current tests I've seen they have structural limits, there are termals, but at least on the Discus, the real plane has more adverse yaw.
@Physicspilot The simulator costs 39,99€, but final prize depends on the shipping, and it depends on where you live, check the link on the description, try to buy and see how much it cost with the shipping...
waaayyyyyy better than fsx

@xDD1322 Definitely, both! No need to choose! :)

Don't use the control collum while doing a stall because it can make the stall worse than it already is. Only use your rudder to correct a wing drop.
bob7266 1 month ago
@bob7266 No ailerons input while stalling, I only roll after the stall, when flying again...
