@ Rev06550x. My buddy just bought the new ski poo 1200 and its tank.  They also pop out of gear going down the trail. Ski poo isnt smart enough to add 5 more oz. of oil to the case. triple are bullet proof. How many ski doos have you heard of blowing up because of faulty carb boots?

sleds a boat? Actually its pretty light for a triple. The weight is comparable to a zr 600 twin and you can't beat the sound of a triple. It will drown your little 550 fan out. Not to mention you wont have to rebuild the engine ever 5000 miles.

yea it is a boat its real light it wieghs over 500 lbs compared to any skidoo i mean come on the skidoo 1200 4tec wieghs 549lb. yamaha has always made heavy sleds,and you wont have to rebuild the motor on my sled for a while,a triple u have to rebuild them every couple years. and yea ill admit triples are very fast but they only have 125hp(2003 viper) same motor as this vmax. but i gurantee you that any of these triples dont stand the skis straight up like my sled does.

You are making a fool out of yourself. You really shouldn't comment on things you don't know anything about. The sled weighs about 490 lbs dry, which is comparable to the other sleds from those years. Ski Doo motors are the ones that need to be rebuilt all the time. The Yamaha triple go forever, my old one had 12,000 on it with no rebuild. Your 550f won't stand straight up. The viper motor and vmax motors are not the same. Compare 4 stroke sleds, Yamahas are not heavy.

Holy cow you stood it up in grass. Lets see you do it in the snow. Viper are lighter then the SX smart one. All sleds have maintenance. With the Yamaha triple all you have to do is clean the carbs, clutches, grease everything, and check the wear bars and slides. The Yamaha triples were some of the best motors made. Ski Doo motors usually only last 5-6k miles until they need to be rebuilt. Compare the SX to other sleds that age. They are all about the same weight. 550f haha shoulda got a 500ss.

Wrong again. Compare the Ski Doo 4tec with the Yamaha Nytro. Only a small difference. We also have a Ski doo MXZ 600 sdi, and it was just rebuilt over the summer with 5,600 miles on it. 550f is not a race sled. Its the 440 thats the race sleds and you can put trail heads on. Get your shit right. Vipers are not over 500lbs dry. Now quite bragging about your little girls sled because you would get killed by a viper. By the way how do you like your girls sled? correction the viper has powervalves unlike the vmax , other than that they're the same .. the venom 600 version of the viper was like any other yamaha 600 triple without the powervavlves . yamaha's aren't that heavy in comparison. I had an 06 F7 .. the viper is only bout 30 lbs heavier if u look at the specs which is pretty fuckin good for havin an extra cylinder under the hood.. I also had ski-doo's they blew up all the time ... my buddy's renegade 800 H.O. blew up just idling in his yard .

omg i got the same sled as u i put a mbrp race can on mine and after like say a 100 or 150 miles it got so so so loud lol when i first put it on at idle it sounded the same but when u got on it wow was it loud esspically after the packing got burnt but if u want loudness and good sound id get a snow stuff can thereb both loud we had a snow a ss on are 2000 xc700 and it sounded more high pitch chainsaw like cuz the metal snostuff uses is thinner than the mbrp mbrp will last longer tho cuz of it

i just bought the sno-stuff muffler for my 2004 RX1 and i haven't put it on yet becuase of how much work it takes.. Im wondering if its worth it because i have to actually cut the two pipes under the seat where the muffler is attached and then use clamps to seal the new SS muffler. Im afraid of having a leaking exhaust and having to take apart the whole sled!

Anyone know of a video of an RX1 with this exhaust so i can hear it before i start this?
