They were ordered to destroy the ship rather than let it stay in Romulan hands but when the Prometheus attacked the Romulan ships they realised that some one on their side had control of the ship.
Of course the prometheus is canon. It appeared in a voyager episode. It is a wild ship and certainly worthy of being dreamed up by a fan sim or writer but it is a "real" canon ship. LOL
I really liked the music, but I think you should have added stuff like "Capable of Warp 9.95! or NEW Deuterium Hull Plating!" as if you were bragging about all it's specs.
And if your going for a can (or starship) Dealership, add a crappy slogan!
Eeeeeh, why would a Starfleet promo show it shooting it's own ships? Several times even... I'd say that's a really nasty bug in the targeting sensors.
I know that, the Doctor foiled it, (Prometheus (VOY)) but it's still bad for a promo. Firing on it's own ships.... (and losing, they were boarded by the other ships)
I have an idea on how to make it better really easily, just put bits of text in at certain moments eg at 0:13 you could put in "The only ship that utilises the revolutionary multi-vector assault mode".
Theres a downside to the prometheus class starship, Since it has 3 warpcores, If one core breaches, The anti-matter shockwave will be three times the normal blast.
Very nicely done! My only suggestion would be to put a clip in after the Nebula battle showing the Prometheus re-assembling (just reverse the separation clip, or maybe a BC mod could do it)
well a good portion of that had nothing to do with the class of ship... i suggest you REMAKE the video with bridge commander clips that would truly give it justice ^.^
Imho it is not really a commercial but a video of the best Prometheus-scenes. Scenes of Akira-class and Defiant-class doesn't fit, especially when the Prometheus fires at one of them. Apart from that the lack of a voiceover and more detailed information about technical specs make it insufficient for an advertisment.
no it has the ability to matain maxium warp and still fire phasers because the warp feild is so close the ship it has no room to keep the phaser beam inside the warp feild and it is using an expermental warp core also and the phaser's power comes from 5 fusion reactors.
as for the phasers not firing at warp, in TOS they fired teh phasers at warp, in ST the motion picture kirk asked why he cant fire them at warp and he was told the phasers now draw power from teh warp core to make them more powerful and so cant fire while at warp.
thus we can assume that the Prometheus has a higher energy output and can sustain both warp speed and still maintain ability to fire phasers.
That was only because of the wormhole effect. Decker explained that when the engines went into imbalance, the phasers were automatically shut down. He never said they can't fire at warp.
True, and that particular design has only been seen on the refit Constitution class. No other ship that we know of did this (possibly for those very reasons)

Yea, definitely a good thought. And the music makes it look like your trying to sell the Prometheus or something. Just get one of those guys that talk on the commercials and you've got yourself a Prometheus commercial.
