This is very nicely put together. I am curious to know where that scene was deleted; it wasn't here in England where it was made. I saw it when it first came out. That sex scene was so powerful... not because it was sexy, which it absolutely is not, but because of the passion and desperation.

John Fowles's novel is amazing, and Harold Pinter's screenplay is genius. So rare that a book and a film can be so different yet both so rewarding.
