I don't know the answers but I see a lot of everything go up in smoke. I do know that GOD gives a lot, like more prayers than all the books in the world could hold. He also takes away life, health, loves, etc but I believe he does so to get our attention and draw us close. He loves to hear us cry out to him in need and in praise.

That's not what they meant...they meant that God sometimes gives to us and sometimes he takes things away...like people we love and care about may leave or die or something like that, the true meaning of this song is from I believe it's in Psalm Praise God in all things not just the good.

God dosnt give us and then take away....... then he might aswell not give us anything at all because you arnt always gonna be perfect....... let me put it this way why would God give you say a baby and then a few days later take that baby away? sure maby some babys die after a few days but thats probibly from the way the babys was born or somthin els....

Because God is loving, but he is also just.

God can and does take away. Just do a search on Bible Gateway for "take away". You will see a lot about nations taking from other nations, people taking from other people, prayers for God to take things away, and also God actually taking away (from nations and people).

However, God doesn't just take things we may see as "good" things to have; he also takes punishment and sin away.

@lalastar0002 God gives and takes according to His will, but not all things are done directly by Him or we wouldn't be held accountable for our actions. It is a matter of trust that if God chooses to take something from our life or lets something be taken from out life, it is for a good reason. The Bible says that this life is full of trials and temptations, death and evil. we wouldn't worry about those things if there were no consequences. i would be hurt to lose someone i love, but i trust God

@lalastar0002 all the stuff that God takes away is to make us stronger. Last year I was deathly ill and now am blind in my left eye. My relationship with God and my family is way better than ever before. All those things that happen is to make us turn back to God.

i think this line means that He gives us blessings and challenges, and takes away our sins and suffering as we turn to Him. But that's just my interpretation.
