  • Reminds me, in some other universe. some other time. I'm already dead.

  • @corduroyg

    the same for me

    this song is pure blues...

  • The riff that starts at 4:30 that leads into the amazing solo is 1 of my favorite moments of any song, just brilliant.

    i feel for youuuuuuuuu

  • 1 person likes Justin Beiber. Good riddance.

  • @CanineFaeces I hope you have the time of your life. (I'm a Beiber hater, but a Green Day supporter)

  • This song alone would make Soundgarden my favorite band.

  • Seether has a song called Like Suicide too.. just realised lol

  • So hardcore, yet so beautiful.. wickedness

  • So hardcore, yet so beautiful.. wickedness

  • @ArtisDaSpoonman No problems Sam :) glad I made someone happy :P

  • This whole album is a dark and beautiful acid trip.

  • omg i friggin love this song. used to fall asleep to it every night during the summer in the old days. beautiful...

  • heard it from another room eyes were waking up just to fall asleep

  • PS: nirvana were f++++++ poster boys. exploited by the industry( as if they didnt know/want to ). and over-shadowed( like every poster-band in rock history) the real greats of every generation. we see it all the time..true talents always stay close to the fans and, stearing away from the spotlight, avoiding their evident downfall as food for the masses. and thats what also makes them great. Just like Soundgarden

  • recently i've witnessed the increasing bullshit-ness of pussy-rock, if we can even classify it as rock.. and then i turn, as i've turned so many times before, to soundgarden. a safe haven of an extremely powerfull essence of sound..of rock..no matter what's gone on for these last years, there hasn't been a band so in tune as Soundgarden..it blows minds...the only real non-poser bands i can think of nowadays(which are still going strong) are tool, rage and faith no more(90's rocked)

  • @TheDeltamago

    so fukin true <full stop>

  • @TheDeltamago even at that. Morello said that rage will most likely not come out with another album for a while. Maynards enjoying his Wine and i beleive hes working on APC or Pucifer not exactly sure. sad sad world how justin bieber is on MTV, remeber nirvana, Pearl jam, etc on mtv?

    good music...

  • @Mattybeany Yeah, And they used to have unplugged, but todays artists, can't do a fuck without computer beats or autotune.

    =(

  • @TheDeltamago I always think the same, no one can compare to Soundgarden, they are the best and Christ Cornell have the best voice ever :)

  • @TheDeltamago

Don't forget Nine inch nails and any work done by Trent Reznor. But this song, is one of soundgardens' best. It was always one of my favs. Second only to "Blow up the outside world".

  • @TheDeltamago Definitely with you on Soundgarden and Tool, that's for sure.

  • @TheDeltamago dont forget AIC

  • @TheDeltamago yea metallica had that saying, fuck all you posers.now they are posers.funny

  • @TheDeltamago dont forget alice in chains. RIP Layne.

  • Best grunge band ever!!!!

  • BUT imo if Layne Staley didn't die of a drug over-dose, Staley and Eddie Veder could have revitalized Grunge and some how saved it, and Soundgarden might have reunited and hindered the birth of post-grunge.... but yeah that didnt happen lol.

  • @Chropoles BUT, Eddie Vedder is still active, Alice in Chains and Soundgarden are reunited...

  • yeah so now Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and Soundgarden can revitalize Grunge. Now we need to wait for Dave Grohl and Kris Novoselic to reunite Nirvana. hey its the 90's again!

  • @Chropoles

Sadly, I dont think that happens, but we got Nirvana- sound-a-likes, maybe Mudhoney or Puddle of Mudd can take their cast??

  • wow some of the comments here are a bit off about grunge and soundgarden. Grunge is a subgenre of alter rock, so saying a band is not grunge but alter rock is the same thing lol. and Soundgarden is grunge, they helped pioneered it too. Soundgarden, Nirvana, Alice in Chains & Pearl Jam was the "Big Four" (and perhaps STP) of the grunge scene. It took Soundgarden to disband to officially say that Grunge is dead. Thats how significant Soundgarden is to Grunge.

  • "Grunge" is a corporate bullshit term.

  • yeah thats obvious, even the bands themselves refused to associate it with that term. but how else can we describe them? it was what it was. bs or not, but most importantly those bands delivered awesome music, that was my whole point, "nevermind" the term or genre ;)

  • Just call it the "Seattle sound". To be honest I don't even like the idea of lumping any of those bands together - their sound is too diverse.

I guess I consider Soundgarden progressive rock. But they crossed so many genres and brought so many different elements to the music that you could probbaly argue whatever you wanted....except "grunge" :)

  • 90's was one of the best times for rock, wish we could hear bands like these again instead of the lame ass rock we have now :(

  • Actually Curt Cobain like the term "Grunge".

  • Comment removed

  • one of the greatest bands of all time

  • soundgarden is more alt rock than anything, they don't have that grunge flavor.. they did tour with grunge bands and were popular with kids at the time but they were distinctly different.

  • I love this song, reminds me of someone who should be here with me now, i love you sam

  • Superunknown is a fuckin´amazing album!!!

  • lyrics are amazing.

  • chris cornell is right: love is like suicide.

  • I heard that this was about Chris Cornell putting a bird out of its misery after it crashed into his window and was injured. He killed it with a brick, supposedly.

  • Analogy. He was making a comparison between that act and what it was like to love.

  • Classic Grunge My Fav. Grundge Band!!

  • I wouldn't call anything from Soundgarden grunge, but ok, that's just lol ol' me.

  • This is definely classified as grunge...even though they had their distinct sound and people consider them their own genre. Soundgarden is the birth of grunge in my opinion.

  • They didn't birth the grunge, better remind yourself they started as a slow metal band, and even when they started, the grunge was already there. But grunge is only an era, but not a genre in my opinion. I reckon Soundgarden the best alternative rock band after Led Zep and Pink Floyd.

  • agreed. i dont think theyre grunge because to me grunge is nirvana and anything close. these guys are more of alternative for me

  • plus I always thought grunge should be classified as an era, and not as a genre. because IMO Nirvana for instance played alter rock, the real emo before it became mainstream and punk.

  • @werabunny

you know what I would say, I think soundgarden is the most grunge band with alice in chains - these guys are the real musicians that made grunge how it is.

  • ...bit down on the bullet now,I had a taste so sour, had to think of something sweet. Love's like suicide

Beautiful. Got to love this song

  • No shit. One of their better jams, guitar

    solo is incredible.

    5 stars

  • Love's like suicide Safe outside my gilded cage With an ounce of pain I wield a ton of rage Just like suicide With eyes of blood And bitter blue How I feel for you I feel for you
