Mine was stolen in the mid 90s, along with my Moog Prodigy, Jen SX-1000, Juno 106 and sundry outboard gear, and that was the end of me and electronic music. I'm listening to this video from pure nostalgia, because I miss the Pro-One now as much as I did 15 years ago. I recorded some music on PC later on, but it doesn't compare as an experience to twiddling analogue knobs.
@bushofghosts1 Pro One Hands Down,,,, Man I own this synth and it's endless with bass, especially the fact it was used in songs like "When I Hear Music" "Jam On It"
"Situation" "Confusion" "Clear" "Al-Naafiysh" "Hip Hop Be Bop" .......it was the ultimate tool for musicians in the 80's and still sounds real nice today. I owned the Juno 106 and sold it as fast as I got it,,, WHY?? It sounded like my cheap ass Akai AX-60 POS synth and I honestly cant see why ppl put the 106 on a pedestal?
I love the track , very inspiring. just the kind of music that i most like. I would love to have that wooden cabinet in my pro-one, how can i get it done. do they come like that?
Unfortunaly i sold my Pro-One for a while, i was a little dissapointed about the variety of sounds. I liked those FM Sounds most, my Rolands arent able to make this. But honestly i kinda regret selling it. My next purchase will be a micromoog i think it is more than that what i expected from the pro-one. Nice Demo btw.
This is a really nice peice of work, nice one. I'm always jealous of real analog sounds. Can't afford that kind of gear : ( But there's always hope eh? Will keep my eyes peeled for more of your vids.
Thanks for the advice. Most of the stuff I use in my vids is carboot bargins but maybe I could treat myself if something good pops up on ebay. Will keep my eyes peeled.
@ChrisLody : check out some roland juno stuff for around 700 bucks... or THIS synth for around 1000. OR the Korg polysix for around 7 to 800.
...
If you're a beginner to analog synths and like/need polyphonic (plays more than one note) then get the Korg Polysix... easily beats the junos in my mind... warmer and fuller.
this is great stuff, thanks for posting!

You recorded this??!?! When I was in the middle of the video I was convinced it was some long lost Brad Fidel sountrack. Very, very cool.

@jaxxstraw I am thinking of buying a pro one or a juno 106. I want it mainly for bass sounds but none the less which would you recommend and why?

Micromoogs are disappointing. Micromoogs and Multimoogs are actually pretty 3rd rate analogs if you ask me. A Moog Prodigy is a better choice.

Thanks a lot!! Check out ebay as some old analogs do sell cheaper than the newer digital synths. And sometimes a bargin is to be had.
