If your interested in movies like indiana jones why not look up "The Perils of Pauline" or serial movie like Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon, Batman (1943), Batman and Robin(1948), SUPERMAN (1948), Atom Man vs Superman (1950) also Batman(1966) and James Bond movies might fit your description.
Growing up in the 70s, I always assumed I'd end up scavenging the radioactive wasteland in a dunebuggy at some point, to feed my mutant kids. No one was more surprised than i was when the Berlin wall came down.
@GoblinXXX And no one was more surprised than I when the inhabitants of the other side of the wall turned out not to have two heads and multiple arms. Sometimes you just can't trust the media.
trying to find the name of a movie where people are on a island with wild dogs or boars. if they bite you, your dead on the spot. to escape they tied trash cans together and got in them and walked to the ocean, where a boat was sitting off shore. might even been a last few people alive on earth type movie. it's an old black and white movie.
The real reason there was no nuke war is because the good aliens told us that there was a undetecable signal that a nuke makes. If we set enough off, the bad aliens will detect then and come. Why do you think they test them under ground. Just think this. If we just happening to be looking with our equipment at an area of spacw where there is a planet and that planet exploses a nuke. We'd see it and that would be prof of life.
Duck and Cover, because when they find your "Irradiated Ash- Image" on the Sidewalk, it will be you.......in a really cool looking "duck n' cover position. ??? Lol!!
@drumdude46 It'd be cooler if you jumped up in the air when you saw the flash-- Then the future generations of radioactive cannibals and talking apes would think we could all fly.
there's a movie where an group of astronauts are on a moon or strange planet and this one gets dragged into this giant golf ball like sphere by tentacles or something. I've never found out what that film was. Also, remember "Green Slime"?
one major difference between modern b movies and 50's b movies, all modern ones are complete crap, even transformer, awful. the trouble is these days its all CGI, nothing really sfongwith it, bit always gets usedt too much, the 50s; they knew they didnthave 100 million $ they didnt dare, it was great art
Does anyone know what movie that is at 6:06 with the alien disintegrating people? Is it still "The Flying Saucer" or are those shots from something else?
Good old James Cameron, I mean he's probably got a very good point, but trust the guy who gave us Aliens and Terminator to say nasty aliens who wanna kick our collective backsides are the more believable idea! :) Great video, a very good analysis of the era and the SF films which it inspired.
Thank you for the upload, I'm trying to understand the sci fi of the 1950s since the new Indiana Jones film will be like Sci-Fi B-movies I want to brush up on films that are usually too cheesey for my tastes.

@tock101 A comet or large asteroid or a moon hitting the earth would creat an explosion even worse than a nuke so that might not be proof of life.
