Never heard the song before but the singer attracted me to it cuz yo he is Rufus and when I heard the first word I fell in love! So melodic and seducing that I barely knew the words, I just listened to his husky, deep voice and I felt like I was trapped in one timeless movie and wow! Yeah, there you go Rufus! Bringing me back to a time I didn't exist in!
Rufus! Please please please play this song when you come to Portland, Maine. I will cry like a baby reminiscing the one I loved, we'd dance on the butterscotch rug swaying to this song...over and over again.
I think Rufus' sadness is that everyone compares his voice to Thom Yorke and/or Jeff Buckley, getting into that argument instead of simply enjoying his voice for what a tremendous thing it is.
The start of this does sound like Glass Houses though.
i dont really understand why he should be compared to either really.......first ive heard it. all three are very distinctly diffwerent. maybe they compare to buckey because he did a very different version of hallelujia around the same time as jb i hardly think this"tragedy" would ever cross his mind it certainly didnt cross mine
Such a stunnig and deep song, amazing maturity for his age.. I wish the song got many covers and publicity, it has the beauty of a classic, timeless piece.
Aaaah this was absolutely divine. Hypnotizing.
