I second @kidgecartoon's request for more videos. I'm hoping to someday keep bees and am learning what i can now. This was informative and not overwhelming. Thanks!
farm bees are weaker species bred to produce lots, they are cross breeding with wild queens and weakening them species, hence we get many stories of wild and farm bees dying out. leave them alone, sugar is not needed by us humans, needed by dentists yes but not in the bigger scheme of things, if you begin bee keeping you are contributing to the weakening of the environment
@magnusalexa Wow sorry I did not see your message. Someone marked it as spam. Some of what you are saying is kinda true. But beekeepers love their bees and lots of them never feed sugar unless it is a total emergency. There is a lot of breeding going on, but I for one do not support it. But then most of the pure strain wild bees are already gone. Having said that they are not weaker for it. At least the Irish strain is quite pure still. Most are black bees with the occasional annoying Buckfast:)
@magnusalexa Consider this first. If beekeepers would not keep bees then they would be fine. But we do and now they are dying because of a parasites ( Varoa mite), that we are largely responsible for. If I did not give them a natural treatment for this they would die. Also personally I don't sell honey but continue to make more bees. I do sell the bees, so others can take up this really important hobby. The money I make does not cover the cost of keeping them. But remember we are nature too.
Thank you so much! I have been looking EVERYWHERE on the internet for something to help me start off beekeeping without totally overwhelming me with a completely foreign language! This is everything I was hoping to find, and such a helpful video! Once again, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! :)
....bees are great!...my Grandfather always had hives....I was like 11 when I started going into the hives with him....he had me use the smoker....it was so much fun for a young boy......what a great time I had.....I highly recommend for people to get into this hobby and get their kids involved....honey bees are basically really harmless.....

@workwithnature Yeah just made my second and third video. Not anything too special but bids none the less. Definetly plan on doing more vids now that I can do decent video recording.
