The people who prefer the Japanese version are crazy. It isn't even Japanese. It's English sang by a Japanese dude. And it sounds terrible IMO. This one isn't that much better. I don't really like the singers voice.

ah one of my favorite animes! This is one of the few series where i prefer the english dub to the japanese language version. I liked the japanese version but the bad american accents especially in the songs took me out of it. I was happy to see hulu recently added this series to it's anime collection both english and japanese but the english version is available for only a limited time.

Ok heres what happens: When someone watches an anime, you tend to like the anime version of dubbed or subbed, rarely both. If you watched the dubbed first, you're use to those voices and if you watched subbed first, you tend to love those more. I realized this conflict when watching Inuyasha or DBZ in japanese, I couldn't find myself to watch the japanese after watching the English. It's just a human thing, you need to watch and listen to what you first heard.

ok in the dub vs subarguement usually the japanese seiyuus win cuz the dubs are poorly done and just sound amateur however in the case of beck it was well done and i have to admit that the voice actor for koyuki esp was very good and 1 for one preferred the english version this time around unlike the english versions for gravitation where the english va s were utter crap...sighh
