is there anyway using vlc and handbrake to convert all of the movie because i keep trying and it only converts the bigger part as you say so i would have 3 to 5 different files containing the same movie anyway to have it as 1 file only?? please help thanks
A huge ripping "legality" disclaimer! Why not explain the cheap legal options first? Though not as convenient, I use a video capture cable ($7+) plus Audials.com Tunebite capture software ($25). You can also capture YouTube and Netflix streams for your ipod or phone to play anytime. Capture from screen and audio output is NOT illegal for private use. I used the capture to transfer Hi8 tapes to digital too. Click on my name for my experience with this setup; I am not promoting Audials.com
your mac can do both. gui is short for graphical user interface, cli is short for command line interface. thus you ask which of both your mac is, i recommend you pick the gui version
CannibalGorilla is right, you can use both interfaces. GUI is more user friendly, and pretty much going to be the standard way of controlling any program nowadays...CLI is like typing in DOS prompts on an old PC...
Well you technically only "own" the burned DVD you purchase, the content of that DVD is not yours at all and subject to all appropriate copyright laws. In short, I don't actually own any of the movies in my vast DVD collection; only the right to watch them in my home whenever I want.
