  • one more thing. im also sad to say me being hispanic american born and my parents were american born all the way down. i have come accros more racist blacks then anything else. ive been called so many names by blacks its sad. so yea, when you can show me respect i will show you some. till then i really dont care. i feel the black community want to be treated higher then anyone else

  • Stop thinking all people are the same...we are all individuals. You are lumping all people into one..you are stereotyping..

  • im stereotyping??? you assume that all americans are trying to bring the black community down. you assume that your race is the only race being attacked. i think the efforts are aimed at the wrong place. their are many races out there that are far worse then where the black community is. middle east , jews (dont forget hitler) and america as a whole is being aimed at by iran and syria. america is not differnt colors anymore we are a nation being attacked outside our borders

  • I nevered assumed anything..you assumed that I was thinking that. What is the old saying???"When you assume something it makes an A-- outta you and me". I never not once downed another race or made light of anyone elses past history. I made a vid discussing the Don Imus situation and how I felt about it being an African American Woman who is raising an African American Daughter.

  • The words used in connection with my female race are degrading and uncalled for and I have every right to express my opinion, you know...using one of those amendments.

  • i understand that and i do think its is degrading but in all realty. if your own men dont have respect for you why should the rest of america. another argument im trying to make. is instead of worrying about alittle name calling worry about real threats to the citizens of america. americans sit back and watch attacks happen but when its a personal attack its a different story. alot of wasted time and money are put into "racist war" by black panthers buring the american flag.

  • Thank you for understanding that it is degrading, and I apologize for being upset earlier. Yes, there are men of my race who use this terminology with no regard of how it can label and demean an individual. If you don't stand up and say, "That's not right" then how will it stop.

  • That same frame of mind can be taken with any action such as your concern with real threats. I must tell you I am not a sit back type of person and watch things happen. If it is within my means, I will take a stand. This vid just happened to be within my means and I am taking a stand against racial comments being thrown without a care or reason.

  • and im all about getting rid of racial slurs. i feel when; lets say rappers and stand up performers; use many of the same slurrs to make profiet and then to critize another man for making a joke is kinda of odd to me. and that is whats hard for me to see that there is racism on both sides. and i think that needs to be addressed more then whats on the surface here. and im glad im having this discusion with you. thank you

  • This is so true and this incident has raised that awareness that it should be across the board. Sometimes it takes a small infraction to occur for the bigger picture to be seen. I personally am appalled at some of the lyrics I have heard in songs and stray away from those artist.

  • im glad we got the straigten out. i think both of views were laid out perfect and it was nice talking to you. its time to go annoy some liberals =P

  • Much appreciated, much respect..Peace ;)

  • correction.."never"

  • dont worry about correct spelling. im not a grammer teacher. gods knows how many incorrect words ive spelt. i know what your trying to say

  • all the amendments you are talking about were made by republicans. I think its a shame how the african community is ungratful for all of this. why cant you let it go? ahah a joke lesser race? umm hello hispanics are trying to be kicked out of this country which blacks and whites support but your the lesser race. stop trying to get people to feel sorry for you. your not slaves any more.

  • Hello usrangers, I never stated I wanted anyone to feel sorry for me..I am an Adult who is quite capable, confident and intelligent enough to realize that pity is not an attribute worth desiring. I love how you state we should be grateful...well how's this..Thank You, for bringing my ancestors here to harvest your fields and our woman to breed your children. Thank you for lynching our men after they fought to be free...cont

  • Oh thank you thank you so much for creating admendments (to help us) but still allowed and closed your eyes to the Jim Crow era. You know I usually don't come back at people like this, because I am always open for discussion...BUT YOU PISSED ME THE FUCK OFF WITH THAT UNGRATFUL SHIT!!!!

  • and the only way you can respond is "i been called names" im sorr for "pissing you the f**K off" i try not to curse when i talk to women but im trying to discuss something with you and get a grasp of something im not seeing.

  • history has shown that black have not been the only slaves. whites have been slaves in the past and so on. if i were you i would be grateful. here in america you can have 9 kids knowingly that they will all grow up to be sucessfull unless taken a wrong path. in africa women have 9 kids to only watch more then half die of hunger and disease. so your welcome even though i cant take all the credit for it, im busy fighting a real war. not a made up one at home

  • You need to watch my vid again and then maybe rethink what you might want to respond with..you are making no sense

  • Fabulous points made:

1.) "How can WE can let it go when it no longer exist."

2.) "How can YOU expect someone to forget what is STILL in your face?"

3.) The corrections made by the radio station were to protect the money more than our dignity.

    WELL DONE MY FRIEND!!!!!! PEACE!!!!!!!

  • Thanks Nedra! ;)

  • whos nedra?

  • The user woodstockgranny...

  • No Problem Sis,

Ya know, there is something called Malignant Psychosis operating in Critical Mass in this country. You put the information out there and did a top notch job in presenting it. If ANYONE does not understand where you are coming from and why; IT"S BECAUSE THEY DO NOT WANT TO UNDERSTAND! And they do not want others to get your point. That is how the disease of ignorance/bigotry spreads itself. PEACE!!!!!!

  • I would like to say that your hurt flows genuinely thru your monologue (I felt it) and I am sorry that this sort of thing is still going on. Yes, I am a white guy by the way.

  • Wundercad, thank you so much for replying. I have been waiting for a response and now I know how you truly feel. I do agree that "slang", whether defaming or degrading used by our Youth and commercialized to our society is a big problem. As I stated in my vid, I don't know if any of this will ever change or stop and it is truly sad..Peace

  • I think Don Imus used those terms in the context of trying to be hip to what I call "youth-speak". Imus thought in some twisted way he was paying them a compliment by implying their toughness using culture slang. This slang is used time and again by youth as a term of endearment.I've heard "Wuss up my N----R" replace the term "What's up dude." The word's meaning and usage is changing in the context of our young people.

  • I do care about the issue. I think I fall more in line with Stanley Crouch though. He pointed out that poverty and helplessness is never an acceptable excuse for poor white folks who exhibit racism, but somehow those factors are used time and again to excuse black rappers and youth who use these terms for profit.

  • Well, you're "shocked" because a white man said it. You can hear an acceptable use of the same phrase on any run of the mill hip-hop album and just bee-bop to it in the car, like I see almost everyday.

  • I never stated I was shocked because it was a White Man. I never stated that I listen to music that uses degrading terminology. At this point you are assuming and don't understand were I am coming from. Have a lovely Day!

  • If I "cannot understand" as you put it, then using your logic, the next question is then, "why should I care if I can never understand it?"

  • I don't know, you tell me why you should care? It is obvious that you care about something, or else you would not have taken the time to view my video.

  • You are obviously a lovely multi-racial young lady. You are clearly not just "black". I hope you can also embrace your caucasian and/or asian, and/or hispanic heritage. And please recognize the fact that black rappers and hip hop artists PORTRAY BLACK PEOPLE as criminals, dope pushers, prostitutes, pimps and murderers, and used the words "nappy" and "hoe" before Imus ever did. Why is THAT not "unwelcome and offensive"???

  • Hello HurricaneHeidi, thank you for the compliment, "lovely lady". I must point out that I am not multi-racial, not saying as a negative b/c there is nothing wrong with being multi-racial. I am African-American, been all my life, at least that is what my parents told me, LOL ;)

  • cont..I totally agree with you in reference to the music of today using degrading terminology. I do not listen to it and find it offensive and very unwelcome. I am in total agreement. Thank You for commenting ;)

  • I saw this when you put it out but I guess I didn't comment on it. Just want to give your props. Well done.

  • Thank You

  • Well done! It bothers me when people say "let it go". Everyone must take into account "our history".

  • Thanks ;)

  • "Let it go" is just a squimishness that comes out of an insecure lack of trust that white people have with black people. The fear is that you will turn and attack them and call them racist. This problem of trust is on both of us to find the truth and to be fair with each other.

  • I agree with you, finding the truth and being fair is the key..but only if it was that simple.

  • You have addressed everything that I wanted to say and then some with such poise. Hopefully, this should be a lesson to everyone that they should be more cautious and mindful as to what they say about others.

  • Thank You

  • WEll done! Powerful delivery! Moving! Thank you for making this video. ~Raven

  • Thank You..Peace

  • Thank you for your clear thoughts that was presented without hate. I remember the vile and jobs lost I suffered when I spoke out against segregation in the 70s and 80s. I met an old preacher who still clings to his racial views. He uses the Bible for his justification. I apologize for him, Imus and all those of prejudice. Forgive us, blaine

  • Thank You..Peace ;)

  • There's so much I want to say but my thoughts are so unorganized. ugh.

  • That's OK..thanks for watching ;)

  • I Agree with you 100% - It will never be okay for a person to do what he did OR say what he said that just was so Wrong and everone no it ...

  • Thank You

  • Wow, that editing at the end really worked well. Nicely done.

  • Thank You

  • Outstanding. vid make great points

  • Thank You

  • Outstanding. The end acutally brought tears to my eyes. Yes, you are so right. I make the same response when people ask "Why can't you just let it go." Does anybody expect a battered wife to just let it go while her husband is still battering her daily? No. When we stop being discriminated against -- and when people stop denying that it actually happens -- then we will be able to let it go. Until then, each time is a brand new punch in the face -- unforgettable. Bravo.

  • Thank you and thanks for the comment.

  • Speak on...

  • Thanks for listening.

  • I'm glad you made this vid. Its hard to think about if racism will ever end. But I think it helps to put the information out there with a face to go with it. It takes away some of the detachment ppl have when just thinking about comments made in relation to an entire basket ball team/an entire race. Seems many ppl can only feel if they can connect with an individual.

  • True, very true..thanks for the comment.

  • Very good video... I wish it would stop...

  • Me too Mandy, you have no idea..thanks for the comment.

  • there is no sound hun

  • Yes, no sound for the 1st 40+ seconds..
