I usually go with assault rifle to the finale and then switch to auto shotgun. I'm not a big fan of the hunting rifle though, I like to be in the front at all times and kick zombie ass instead of haning back sniping. I'm not saying that it's for pussies, as long as the guy with the hunting rifle does a good job I'm happy :)

Can someone tell me why everybody is using hunting rifle? I always use assault rifle, because shotgun reloads so slow and i don't see the use of the hunting rifle. Can someone tell me?

hunting rifles are the most effective weapon in the game.... plus with all of them shooting at tank its gonna die fast.....

Hunting Rifle is used to pick off special infected such as Smoker or Boomers. It's also used to gain some variety in weapon choice, instead of everyone just picking up a Assault Rifle or a Shotgun.
