Nice to see a university do more than theorise about what is possible. How can we possible know if anything will work unless we try it. Just like here at MLC School it is great to see you guys daring to be more. The crazy thing is that so many others think of it all as futuristic when it is actually reality. We need to develop our understandings of these ways of learning so that we can inform and influence the future of Education - well done BOISE
Ditto for arlyt1. I finished my Masters 14 years ago. When I retire in outerspace, I'll finish my academic career by being the first to finish my PhD virtually. I'm guessing the Boise State will have a satellite or offices on a space station by that time.
This video is really well-done, and it helps explain to people what it means to be going to graduate school online. I am a student in the COMET (Cohort Online Masters in Educational Technology) at San Diego State, but I live in San Jose. People usually think I am in a program where I go at my own pace and have to be really disciplined. I DO need discipline, but I attend synchronous classes with my cohort from all over. I love it.
As a graduate of the EdTech M.A. program at SDSU, way back in 1993, I can tell you that THIS is where I envisioned us heading. Out of the industry for years, I'm excited to come back and find SL and explore the possibilities even further.
As a graduate of this program, I believe that this video showcases the true power of the program, experience of the faculty, and forward thinking teaching and learning that occurs. Great job!
I realize this is an introductory video, yet I wish I had learned more details about your programs. So EdTechBSU, you are now challenged to provide text and video responses that provide these details.
Within the EdTechBSU channel you could organize the data to educate people about your programs. I would like to see the data produced exclusively by your faculty and students.

Interesting. The future will be very different. About time we admit that things are different, and join our children in the 21st century.
