Turns out Harumi Fujita was the one who composed most of this, not Yuki. Looks like Yuki's definite GQ2 credit got corrupted into just being GQ (or GQ1)'s somewhere along the line and it was never challenged.
Ohhhh So creepy. Yikes!!!! LOL!!!! It sounds way cool!!!! I really enjoying the music!!! I am getting the chills from it, because it sounds creepy. I like it!!!
It's still lame compared to the song in Demon's Crest. Anyhow, the Demon's Crest song is still better than this one. Also, I don't really care about Marvel Vs Capcom 3. It's just another fighting game that capcom pumped out because MvC2's success. Capcom's been a HUGE letdown nowdays. Even SF4 was complete shit compared to other fighting games that came out between SF3 and SF4. SF4 was the most mediocre game I played and gets it's fame from the title.
Well, consider this. You play fighting games before SF4 comes out, and still love the genre. Then, you get excited for SF4's released. Once it comes out though, it's a half assed game that's dumbed down and has no real charm to it. Just appealing to fanboys such as Lancecryor.
@Siberianhusky89 How is it "dumbed down"? It has all your favorite characters from Street Fighter 2 and then some. It's a return to the 2D roots after the Street Fighter EX stuff. What more do you want?
Play other fighting games my friend. SF2 was good for it's time. But SF3 was a bit more complex, detailed and fast paced. If you play SF4 seriously (Vanilla), alot of it was about trying to turtle your way through the match and using projectiles properly. Once in a while, throwing EX ones. Other franchises exist though. KOF, Guilty Gear, Arcana Heart, along with many others. It might be hard to understand for those who abandoned the genre and just come back to one game
@Siberianhusky89 Why can't I just play games for fun? See, I had rented Guilty Gear X2 numerous times a few years ago. I couldn't really understand the whole "Dead Angle" thing or "Roman Cancel".
I have KOF XI, but I couldn't complete the Challenge Mode, because it's mostly impossible to beat.
Seriously, Super Street Fighter IV doesn't look that bad. The graphics are good, the music is..kinda average, but not bad, and the controls are just fine. I can't really beat anyone online though.
It's just boring. Also, KOF XI's challenge's aren't that bad. I love that game, and if you learn combos are take advantage of certain characters, it can be a pretty smooth challenge mode.
@Siberianhusky89 That's the problem. I don't know how to really "combo". The only way I can get multiple hits most of the time is if I do a special/super move. If you want to continue this conversation on PM, that would be fine.
@ZblueboltZ Its's because the GameBoy had a green screen, so he looked green in the game, and they did it in the boxart too. In console games that have better graphics, he's red.
@bkchimera06 The game wasn't produced by Nintendo, it was produced by Capcom. It's Capcom's game, and it's their music. Just because it's a GameBoy game doesn't mean it's Nintendo's music....
@AzureKite619 Its not released for download yet. You'll have to wait until Capcom decides to release it, or until the game comes out, whichever comes first.
For the handful of people who knew of Firebrand probably know him from Demon's Crest. To be honestly, I didn't know Demon's Crest was the 3rd entry of a series until I looked it up
1: That GnG theme is the most memorable one they gave Arthur, the most iconic song in the series actually.
2: Firebrand along with his games were lesser known than Arthur himself and even then the people who knew about him knew him from Demon's Crest more or less
3: Demon's Crest just had a baller as hell sound track to begin with
@ConkerfanX I was hoping for Beyond the Colosseum myself. Or the intro theme from Demon's Crest. But the remix that MvC3 did (surprisingly) is well made unlike some of the other music and remixes on that game (I'm looking at you Iron Man).
Didn't Demon's Crest absolutely tank? I mean I can't imagine Gargoyle's Quest sold like a GnG game, but it still sold enough to get two sequels. I don't think a lot of people remember Demon's Crest. Gargoyle's Quest has a pretty 'baller as hell' soundtrack too, and it makes sense to choose a song from the characters original game.
uhhh, no it didn't tank. And while I can understand using a song from the character's original game I'm just saying I preferred Crest's soundtrack compared to Quest's. I do like Quest's as well, pretty swell for GB chiptune I think. In fact most people I know who are fans of GnG and Brand's games both really liked Demon's Crest and Firebrand had quite the tricks in that game too.
I'm pretty sure it did tank. Actually I'm almost positive, that's why it's so rare nowadays. It is a lot of fun though, it looks like he'll be using some of the moves of his transformations, even if he doesn't really transform. I know I'm excited.
I thought it did decently, oh well then my bad. Personally I was excited to see Brand in Marvel. In fact aside from Doc Strange he's probably the one I'm most excited for.
Me too! He was one of the characters on the old MvC3 'leaked' lists that I was upset wasn't actually in the game. And it looks like he's gonne be good too! It's definitely something to get excited about.
Pretty much. Gargoyle's Quest I & II obviously sold well enough to get sequels, but Demon's Crest bombed in sales. It's a shame though, I've never played more than a few minutes of DC, but it's a fantastic game, from what I hear.
Even after about a decade since I last played this game, the moment I heard this I started singing along to it as if the tune never left my memory. One of the first 3 games I got with my first Game Boy (Pocket, black) on Christmas 1996. Gargoyle's Quest was challenging at the time, but also one of the first games I beat. It was also one of those games that I sometimes liked to put on pause to listen to the music. I wonder if I should get a GB Pocket again...that thing was the shiz!
I fixed the link! Most FLAC links are down because of something weird with the hosting, so I still need to replace them. But I think the rest of the MP3 links I have up should be good still. :)
My first game . Thanks for the upload
