Under full power when changing up, no. Changing down, or operating it "Normally" then yes.

Please dont wind me up lol. This is a proper gearbox designed to be ragged, straight cut gears with dog engagement. Its clutchless on the upchange yes. Its also very quick.

@mikespike502005 wind you up? lol Im trying to find out more about these types of gears boxes. because Iv seen videos where they dont need to use the clutch at all even during down shift. but in this video it appears that darryl is using the clutch. so do u think there are different types of sequential gear box just like this one?

Clutchless shifting on a normal gearbox - stupid.

Sequential boxes are expensive. There are different makes for different cars. For example, a Renault Clio Sport 172 can have a SADEV sequential box fitted, but it costs about £6,000

Id sooner have a Dog box, works in the same way but uses your average dog leg layout rarther than having the gears in sequential order.

Darryl uses the clutch on downshifts so as not to damge the gearbox, he doesnt use the clutch for upshifts under full power because he doesnt have to, under full power no clutch is needed thanks to the straight cut cogs. Go google sequential gearboxes if you want to know how they work. If darryl wanted to use the clutch on upshifts he could.

Also, these kind of gearboxes are fairly noisy, a dog box is a bit clunky (i dont care what anyone says) too.
