  • Virgil Hill is the best homosexual boxer since Emile Griffith. Most gay fighters stay in the closet for obvious reasons, so I don't blame Hill for not coming out.

  • @GohModley You sound like a hater my guy

  • @jsimms601 You seem biased against homosexuals

  • Did Kinchen every beat a good fighter? I guess you could say he beat Hearn's and was robbed but he lost every big fight he was in. Barkley, Roldan and Shuler all beat him.

  • @shire2005 You cannot really say he beat Hearns when he didn't. Heanrs fought his heart out and won a decision. Kinchen thought because he hurt Hearns in round 4 and had a 3 point round, he could not be busy like Hearns was. I don't know how anyone can think Hearns lost that fight. Knockdowns are great, but they do not make a win if there are 8 rounds remaining and there are no more knockdowns.

  • wow!! beautiful execution. thats nothing but experience

  • Yah, you don't want to go back to those days. Boxing was so corrupt back then..not in the ring so much as who would fight whom.

Virgil HIll never fought Dennis Andries or Charles williams--the other champs at the time. Promoters couldn't agree.

It's like this crap with Fedor and the UFC. Him not signing.

    See you fedor!

  • really appreciate the older fights being posted...thanks for uploading, redsoxwinagain.

  • i know virgil hill

  • I take lessons from virgil

  • Wow, youre lucky!:)

  • If anyone has Kinchen vs. Hearns, I'd love to see it.

  • I have the Hearns - Kinchen fight. I'll work on posting it.

I know first hand that even Hagler wouldn't fight Kinchen. Sugar Ray Leonard told Kinchen the reason why he couldn't get a big shot. I give credit to Hearns, he had the balls. But then Hearns accused Kinchen of Steroid use.

  • Cool, SwayzeOne, I'll look for that (Hearns-Kinchen). What did SRL say was the reason that Kinched didn't get a title shot?

  • that would be awesome--i have been waiting so long to se the hearns kinchen fights--thnx

  • @pnutbutrncrackers

someone posted the hearns vs. kinchen fight.

  • @SwayzeOne Very nice of you to let me know , Swayze. Thank you!

  • virgil hill is a chippewa native from belcourt. My step-dad used to train with him. I was taught how to box from my step-dad and im undefeated at 22-0 not counting squabbin outside of the ring at the rez parties.

  • He's also french-canadian,norwegian,german and a couple other things. I read it on his website.;) Nice mix.

  • Does anybody have any video of the Hill VS. Emebe fight in 1988?

  • One more thing. Kinchen lost to Shuler, Roldan and Hill 3 guys Hearns beat. Hearns was a lot better than Kinchen. Tommy was better than Virgil. but in that they were more evenly matched since Virgil is a legend.

  • Thomas Hearns vs. James Kinchen was not as close as you guys think. Hearns was hurt in the fight a few times, but he dominated the rounds. Hearns was faster and more experienced than Kinchen and fought when he had to. Kinchen thought he had it in the bag with Hearns because he knocked down Hearns. Then Hearns beat Virgil Hill. So, Hearns beat both these guys. That is fact and in the record books. Tommy went 12 rounds with both and won two decisions.

  • Swayze one, all it takes is a knockout to win a fight. Hill knocked out Kinchen with his signature punch the counter left hook. And you say Kinchen smoked the legend Tommy Hearns, not really. Hearns won that fight and dominated with speed.. And this same counter left which hit Kinchen in round one, did not come close to Hearns in 12 rounds with Hill and Tommy won. There is no doubt who the best fighter of the 3 was. And that was Thomas Hearns. Next Virgil Hill and the last James Kinchen

  • is hill a south paw

  • Nope

  • he fights like he has no right hand

  • Hill was french and indian

  • Hill got lucky. This fight was stopped so close to the end of the round. Watch Kinchen's skills before the lucky shot by Hill. The decision on Kinchen's fight against Hearns was political. Kinchen smoked Hearns.

  • You're kidding, right? Hill didn't get lucky, he demolished the guy. Kinchen fell out of the ring, rolled back in, hung on a rope until he could muster the strength to get back up and was barely coherent at 9.9 seconds.

  • No, I'm not kidding. You make it sound like Hill owned Kinchen that whole round. Hell, Hill barely got a punch in until the end of the fight witht that lucky shot. Kinchen's left hooks to Hill's chest pushed Hill across the ring serveral times. I'm not saying Hill didn't win, I'm saying he got lucky. Google it. Every analyst who's even seen the fight said the same thing "Hill got lucky". Same reason why the comentator's were shocked.

  • Fuck the so.-called analysts! That was skill, not luck!

  • i believe he's mixed with black and indian..

  • @allout1034 Hill has no black blood in him whatsoever. I remember reading an article in either Ring or KO magazine and he said so himself. He is part Native American and part white.

  • is hill indian

  • i know kinchen personnelly

  • That was a slow count.

  • OMG! i no virgil hill!!! hes always at my school, because his daughter goes to my school (and his son). hes GOOD!!

  • Was there live that night back in Bismarck - will never forget it.

  • dam that was a great ass whoopping

  • Kinchen lost to Hearns, but it was HIGHLY disupted. A lot folks thought "The Heat" did enough to win that one. Of course, this fight represents the extinguishing of the the fire that was "The Heat."

  • wasnt there a johnny the heat verderosa?i believe so

  • Yes. He defeated Sean O'Grady.
