  • por favero subtitulos en español gracias

  • @xxmillosxx dice que es una medicina bien chingona y te da un viaje bien relax y si lo combinas con alcohol mejor...jajaja no es cierto mejor busca un video en español.

  • For people seeking advice on wether or not this drug is for you in the YouTube comments, stop immediately.

Don't get advice from non-qualified professionals. Talk to a doctor.

  • so i missed something here....we are supposed to snort it and then take shots of tequila? damnit I shoulda paid more attention.

  • After 3 years on Klonopin, then 4 on Ativan (8 mg per day), I was cut-off after a voluntary detox from prescribed pain management Morphine. No doctor (including ER) would reinstate. The Morphine was a relative (6 day) breeze compared to the nearly 1 year horriffic withdrawals from Ativan, of which they detox hosp. gave me only a 6 day taper.

There's a Benzodiazepine Withdrawal Support Group on Facebook if anyone's in need of help regarding benzo withdrawal, or considering it.

  • I found it caused more anxiety than ever. Poison if your doc doesn't warn you of it's addictive ways. It will turn EVIL on you!

  • Yeah benzo stuff is definitely addictive. I know. A family member is going through withdrals from it, was on it for 9 years. The symptoms can last for months and possibly years. How do I know this. I have a another family member that works closely with a drug addiction expert. I am wondering why we just don't look or use smart medicine, that are naturally available which can do the same thing without all of the side affects. Pharmacuticals is huge "business", it's all about big money.

  • @Frizzied please check into the Ashton Manual taper method. Google, print it, read it and bring to the doctor saying this is it. It is the only highly studied way to SAFELY and successfully come off this Ativan. It does require using Valium. DO NOT have the doctor prescribe Klonopin. It must be Valium. It seems like a contradiction but the Valium is longer acting and helps as one drops in Ativan w/out seizures, severe withdrawal or death. :( Then you taper from Valium and it goes smoother.

  • hmm don't want me to post what I really want to write.

  • Anxiety?! Fuck that benzo shit, its nothing a joint can't fix!

  • a 2mg ativan and a 10mg ambien puts me right out.

  • i want ATIVAN, in Finland, TEMESTA, but my doctor wont prescribe it to me! i NEED it to live normal life...

  • Ativan is gay it sucks. i tried it and it SUCKED. theres a reason why xanax is so abused by people.............xanax feels fuckin great and cures anxiety!

  • 16 people take Xanax

  • Possible Side Effects:clumsiness, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, lightheadness, stomach upset, unsteadiness, or weakness. You may also experience bizarre behavior; changes in personality, mood, or behavior; chest pain; confusion; despression; disorientation; fainting; falling or staggering; hallucinations; irregular heartbeat; loss of coordination; severe drowsiness; or unusual tiredness or weakness. Allergic reactions:rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, or trouble breathing.

  • I've went most of my life without taking Ativan and I wish I had known about it earlier. It truly saved my life. True anxiety is not something to fuck with and people saying "what did people do before pills?" THEY PROBABLY KILLED THEMSELVES, DUR. Miracle fucking drug -- just don't take them every day or even every second day.

  • @icatchrye wrong

  • while i was in a psych ward for a few months, I was on flouxetine 80mg, which is an SSRI anti depressant, and they had me on ativan too! and the lady just said not to combine those two!! wow.... i love ativan though, i crave it a lot

  • @anaelisebeth Oh no. You crave it because you are unwitting dependent on it. It totally messes with your GABA receptors. Please research this and google stopping ativan, long term benzodiazepine withdrawal. The safest way to come off with out DYING is the Ashton Method. The makers of ATIVAN need a giant class action suit against them. This poison is often prescribed to take the edge off SSRI's. Doctor's should do a serotonin test before even prescribing SSRI's but they don't. It's a nightmare.

  • @shelliebill really I have a loved one going through severe withdrawls any suggestions will be looked at thanks.

  • Don't walk, RUN as fast as possible from Ativan or any benzo medication! The dirty ugly truth is that Ativan is a POWERFULLY ADDICTIVE medication that has the potential of debilitating your quality of life.

  • Ugly and lying bitch !

  • Good luck coming off it! It's hell...

  • My doc won't give me shit.

I have such terrible anxiety I have had to get off the bus because I was in such a state of anxiety. I have zopiclone prescribed for sleep but I can't get shit for my anxiety.

Does anybody h ave any tips on 'selling' your story to a doc? I am not doctor shopping, I just want relief!

  • for me i told my doctor about not being able to be around people (truth) and he gave me ativan, i just started taking it and it really chills me out in a good way

  • @ontariobuds get a new psychiatrist

  • @ontariobuds Your doctor is ridiculous! Get rid of him, I have severe anxiety and my doctor is inflexible. They try to force BS medication on you and don't believe you when it doesn't work, they just up the milligram. What worked for my sleep is ambien and for panic attacks to take ativan but don't take it regularly. But everyone is different. Good Luck.

  • I was just prescribed these little life savers today. I have had severe chest and back pain to the point I really thought it was over. All you have to do is seek help, this will be the first thing they give for anxiety. And it really works, too. I honestly feel like a person again. Oh yeah RebelliousPunk77,Have fun with seizures, etc.? Your pretty extreme, must be really deep into the benzos.

  • @mistahmeaner Your comment "Have fun with seizures, etc.?" is insulting, because I have seizures, and the primary reason I ever take Ativan is to eliminate any activity when it flares up. The only other reason being if I'm ticked and needing to calm down.

  • @Survivor1fan I was referring to RebelliousPunk77's comment, sir. If you were to read the top rated comment, he tells whoever it was to have fun with seizures etc. I was offended too because I struggle everyday with anxiety and it sucks. I hope you read this comment soon because I didnt try to offend ANYBODY! And I pray that all goes well for you. Take care.

  • I take lisiniprol for high blood pressure. Ativan (Lorazepam) works to lower my heart rate as well. Because I freak out this stuff has helped dramatically.

  • my docs a retard profiteer, but this stuff can help

  • LOL!! I would NEVER take anything this pharmacist gave me.. She looks evil as fuck

  • I don't find lorazepam to have that strong of a effect. Even a 2mg. Trazodone works better for sleep.

  • ativan is the best thing for anxiety. i have chest pain all day every day from anxiety, if i take just 1 tiny little .5mg the chest pain and anxiety is GONE for a good 2-5 hours

  • @darksinthe Same here. Chest pain is the worst part, even after you realize it isn't your heart. I will take low dosage Lorazapam for a while until I am right again, I will get my routines back by eating right and exercising, then taper off easily. It isn't that bad as long as you don't start upping the dosage to compensate for tolerance.

  • @darksinthe Today is my first day on Ativan. I took one 1mg and feel like a million bucks. Hope my chest pain dont come back, and yours as well. Take care.

  • lol her face is so emotionless. its like shes autistic or something

  • That damn pills increases my anxiety u have no idea

  • Why do we feel the need to share so much? What dosages we take, what conditions we've been diagnosed with, how we felt or reacted to other meds, how long we've been on pills, our weaknesses, our fear? We just put this stuff out in public, then get so upset when we find out our personal information is being bought and sold by datamining companies. We give it away for free.

  • Lorazepam is a life saver. I take 1mg only as needed, so I don't build up tolerance. When a really bad panic attack comes on, I just pop a 1mg and it's gone (obviously not that fast).

  • @Sparisi1122 If you need a quicker release take it sublingually. Place a tab under the tongue and let it dissolve there. The blood vessels in the mucus membrane will absorb it. It doesn't taste bad at all.

  • Benzodiazapines aren't habit forming. They're incredibly addictive and VERY difficult to stop.

  • I'm not a fan of Big Pharma -- and they hate Americans, except for their cash - but I have to say Ativan has been a life saver for me. Nothing else has allowed me to keep working and be productive. I take .5 mg a day, a small dose and have been doing this for 4 years. Thank God.

  • this was the only thing that worked for me. I was on Xanax and Valium, and I hated those- for some reason they didn't effect me at all- Ativan was a God send- but I hated haveing to take a pill almost every day just to feel normal so I weaned myself off them and now I just excercise and go to counseling to deal with GAD. Be very very very careful if you decide to take this- I can completley see how someone could become addicted easily.

  • this works for me...the only fuckin thing that works is Xanax and Benzo's..does anyone know any Herbs that mimic Benzo's (other then Kava Kava cause it dont)

  • Really effective, but really addictive.

  • I LIKE ATIVAN ITS VERY EFFECTIVE , JUST KNOW WHAT UR GETTING INTO, IF UR TOTALLY FINE WITH BEING ON PILLS FOR THE REST OF UR LIFE LIKE I AM THEN GO FOR IT BUT IF U DONT WANNA BE DEALING WITH A HABBIT WHERE THERES A 20% SUCCESS RATE OF PPL WHO GET OFF OF IT AND THOSE ARE SITISTICS FROM PPL WHO WENT TO REHAB...BUT ANY WAY ....

I TAKE 1 po BID PRN FOR MY SERIOUS PANIC ATTACKS WHEN THEY ARE SO STRONG MY OTHER MEDS DONT WORK. I ALSO TAKE AS MAINTNENCE MEDICATION KLONOPIN 1MG PO TID &PAXIL 60QD

  • @N1ck1Sk123 Is that what your homosexual pimp told you to do?

  • If it wasn't for ativan I still would be waking up at night feeling like I was dying ..

  • In fact, if you want to better understand anxiety and cure it naturally, read the Mood Cure by Julia Ross. There is no real need to ever take these drugs if you educate yourself. You will save yourself alot of money and alot of heartache by educating yourself. Doctors don't know everything. Read the book and decide for yourself.

  • So Lorazepam does what GABA does? Why not take GABA? I did and it works and it's natural and there are no side effects because you're supplementing what your body is not producing. Save your money and avoid the very real possibility of becoming addicted to this drug.

  • Avoid.

  • YEAAhs some Lpams, love em!

  • "Should not be taken with SSRI anti-depressants" wow, my dr has had me on both for awhile. She never said they couldnt be taken with SSRIs.

  • @ElizabethCorkins

Mine put me on them as well, and from what I can tell that comment is bullshit. The internet has given me no insight on combining them being a bad idea. Neither did the pharmacist when she was telling me about both of the prescriptions.

  • uh oh i tooked a shit load last night wat do i do

    ]

  • yeah ... what a fancy name for Lorazepam ...

  • To thundermuffin86 if ones life undergoes a 360degree change it's not a change is it. Rather all the way round back to where you started?? I think you mean 180degree yes??

  • i take 3 mg, i get motivated, feel happy then slightly tired after a few hours. It works for my depression and anxiety where the prozac and seroquel I am taking seems to do NOTHING

  • @rainbowspite222 I agree!! The ativan works best for me, im also on seroquel, and celexa, but the ativan works best. Calms down the anxiety, i dont get tired from it though.

  • too short a half-life.

  • I hated Ativan, just did nothing for me. Xanax and Klonopin were far more effective for me, personally.

  • Xanax and especially Klonopin, are only going to make you worse. They are short-term band-aids that only mask your anxiety. Think of it this way: if you have a pot of boiling water on the stove and you put a lid on top of it to cover the steam from escaping, does the steam disappear? Temporarily yes, put when you remove the lid, that steam is more powerful than it was originally.

  • @thundermuffin66 I understand and haven't been on them (benzos) but 2 months taking them only as needed. But if I wear an oven mitt to reach over an open pot of boiling water to turn down the eye of the stove to lower the boil without scalding myself, I don't see the problem, to extend your metaphor. However I understand completely where you're coming from, crutches and addictions aren't helpful and don't fix the root cause. I'm learning better ways to handle my anxiety and take it day by day.

  • Good for you. Stay strong.

  • Ativan can mess up your skeletal mucles! :(

  • being addicted to this stuff was by far the worst period of my life...

  • TRUE SHIT forsure dont get on this shit daily ul regret it fora coo while.

  • drugs of all kinds are addicting, i have a grandmother who's on at least 10 different kinds of medications, shes dependent on them and, shes losing it. they can help, but its probably better to cycle them, as they lose their potency after a while..theres all kinds of other techniques for helping you anxiety, the meds can help you through that process..god bless

  • I had a panic attack several weeks ago and my body was in a lot of pain for hours afterward. I had to go to the hospital. I could fall asleep, but when I woke up, I felt terribly anxious and in discomfort immediately upon regaining consciousness. Finally after 6 hours, the doctor saw me and I got .5 mg ativan and within minutes I started to feel normal again. Within 15 minutes I was anxiety and pain free. I keep a supply on hand just in case.

  • I call Lorazapam my "don't kill anybody" pills. I've graduated from 3 to 4 mg a day to 8 mg (the alleged max) for the past 3 years through a "break your back, can't work, loss of 80k per year, 5 foreclosures, finally getting the surgery a WC insurer denied me as my legs had been spontaneously collapsing" life experience.

They've been great, but at this dosage, it will take me at least six months to withdrawl.

It kills your passion for life, your libido, and remember, is extremely addictive!!!

  • I am on Klonopin, it's a bit stronger than Ativan, there is no happy pill! Yeah they helped for maybe 5 years, then up the dose, you either have to do things to keep it working up the dose or get off it (which is no fun whatsoever!).

  • Sitting here. Been on 2 doses of Ativans today, two Seroquels this afternoon, now on Seroquels x 2 tonight with my Imrest (Zopiclone) x 2 at 7.5mg & 10mg escitalopram x 2. Other option is to allow my mental health issues kill me more. This stuff helps. Just need threapy as well.

  • Ativan helps knock the edge off my anxiety. Just 1mg a time. Takes under an hour to kick in. But sometimes it isn't enough and I take Seroquel, which knock me out for a few hours. But Ativan's are good to pu tin your bag when going out and having them ready.

  • This stuff is amazing! I love it take 2,5mg lorazepam and the day is mine^^

  • Ativan makes me feel absofucking wonderful. I am on 2 mg's and I take it in the morning and I can function unbelievably well through the day. I can talk to people and not feel like they're analyzing me, I can tell my side of things and pass on my knowledge and experience to someone if they're curious about what it is I have to say, and not second guess myself "Well maybe I'm wrong..." anymore.

This stuff works fucking amazing for me and I can see why it's addictive.

  • <3 it !

  • No pill will improve your life. Stop thinking so much...go for a walk...make your world as big as possible and surround yourself with as many people as possible. You'll be surprised at how quickly you forget that you ever had a problem. Remember: ANXIETY IS NOT REAL. It's a self-induced mental state where an imaginary threat is perceived. No one dies from a panic attack.

  • Comment removed

  • The sublingual doses are probably the most habit forming because it's like taking a "hit" to calm yourself down. The drug is released very quickly into the bloodstream and leaves you pretty quickly. If you're already on paxil, why does your doctor feel that you have to take Ativan as well?

  • Yes, that is all great advice, and all those things really do help!

But when you suffer panic attacks from being put on the spot, like presentations, interviews, meetings... then you will need extra help.

I am not for taking Ativan daily.. but the SL tabs help in the above case.

  • There was once a time when people didn't take Ativan or anti-depressants and they too felt anxiety and panic, but because the "luxury" of taking a pill wasn't available, they relied on their cognitive abilities to forget about their anxiety and carry on with their presentation/meeting/interview. The more you lean on these pills, the more you convince yourself that you actually need them.

  • That's why there's always been alcohol or opium or even spousal/child abuse. I'm not excusing those behaviors AT ALL, I'm just saying human nature has always had nervous feelings and if a pill, taken properly for as short as possible doesn't make someone weak, it means they are recognizing their own humanity. Of course using drugs or alcohol long term is a crutch. But once upon a time those who saw visions of people were regarded as saints, now we call them schizophrenic.

  • People who drink alcohol or taking any drug (benzos included) to remedy emotional regressions, are not recognizing their own humanity - they are running away from it.

  • Ask yourself, "what would I do if these pills never existed?" Would you be homeless and out of a job? Probably not.

  • Anixety not real? One of the most retarted comments i thing i ever had.

  • Anxiety is not something tangible. It's a self-induced response to a perceived threat that is, in most cases, not real. People who suffer from anxiety disorders contrive an imaginary threat. This is a manifestation of our instinctual fight/flight survival response that is present to protect us from real dangers.

  • The fear that is synonymous with anxiety is ultimately, the fear of death. Most people who suffer from anxiety disorders, subconsciously equate something like the fear of losing their job, to the fear of death.

  • "Most people" with anxiety disorders deal with overwhelming anxiety which would they haven't yet had the opportunity in their life to death with healthily. I'm not scared of death, I'm scared of disappointing others and letting down my family. I very much want to live!

  • The fear of death is sub-conscious. - meaning you're not aware that you're really fearing death. Your fear of failure that triggers anxiety attacks in you is actually a sub-conscious fear of death because you have created the illusion in your mind that disappointing your family or others, is the ultimate failure of your existence. This illusion that your mind has created triggers a survival surge of adrenaline in you when you encounter failure. In reality, you are in no danger.

  • Once you are able to grasp that anxiety is a mind-made survival response, you'll be amazed at how much bigger the picture will become for you.

  • Think about it. If anxiety were truly real, everyone would respond with anxiety to the same or similar external stimuli. Once you grasp that anxiety and panic are illusions created by your mind, and you tell yourself that "it's not real, it's a lie," your life will take a 360 and you'll become a much happier person. Cheers.

  • What exactly are you saying in a lie? Don't you think healthy stressors can be a motivator when handled correctly? And since when does everyone respond to X, Y, Z with the same response?

  • We're talking about anxiety, not healthy stimuli. If the skin breaks, we all bleed. If we contract a flu virus, most of us will get a fever, chills, etc. That is something tangible and real. Anxiety is not something tangible. It's a subjective illusion created by the mind.

  • @thundermuffin66 I disagree that anxiety is unreal, to me it is as real as grief. But I appreciate your input and thank you for sharing your experiences.

  • Don't believe the hype. This drug is a poison and will destroy your central nervous system. I had taken 1.5 mg per day for panic and anxiety and while it did work to temporarily alleviate symptoms, it made the original symptoms worse. I started to become delusional, paranoid, and violent. There is no such thing as a "happy pill."

  • A small amount of ativan works brilliantly for anxiety. It doesn't seem to make you feel so sedated and fuzzy or wobbly and floppy like valium or xanax—it just dampens the feelings of anxiety.

Some ativan before a job interview is one good example.

  • Felt like this shit saved my life

I'm recovering from panic disorder and I used to go to the emergency room A lot, my heart would beat so fast over 170 on the meter and I couldn't stop shaking. They would inject this stuff into me and it would be the only thing to stop it.

I'm now taking only small tiny pills of it when I need it one year later, I'm happy to say I only take it maybe 1 a week now

  • ativan, while most obviously not a booster will knock you flat on your ass and you will have no anxieties on it. ativan, back when i took it 2x made me forget about my problems and start thinking about how good i was going to feel when i nodded off.

  • getwell nework my ass!!! why even give this info out losers!!!!

  • hate taking xanax now-3 yrs on it and i gotta take like 6 mlg to be ok

    so im on ativan now

  • Try Pharma GABA, folks! It's all natural and it WORKS! Search it on YT.

  • i dont understand the diffrences of benzos, like i understand part is how quick it comes on an how long it lasts... but is that it?? like is xanax xr basically the same as a benzo that last longer? not exactly the same i understand..

  • I feed this shit to my cockatoo, he loves this shit, just sits there and sings like a whistle.

  • you fucking asshole....I hope you are not serious. The lowest dose would kill a 3 lb bird...you idiot ass clown.

  • the generic version seems to cause more severe withdrawal symptoms... the brand name version works way better --at least for me!!!

  • I feed this shit to my dog. He loves it :)

  • Say what you want. Ativan helps me by leaps and bounds, granted I only take it as needed. I have terrible panic attacks, mood swings, and irritability some days and need it because it kicks in so fast. Most days I don't need it at all.

  • I called the company who manufacters this drug and I told them I am going to sue them. I contact a lawer today and they told me they were going to help me with my case.

  • suing for what? you took the medication

  • I was grossly uninformed about how addictive this poison is. I suffered for a long time and am still paying off the medical bills that piled up as I was going through the worst withdrawal ever. There is no warning that it can be addictive by only taking the prescribed amount. This company withheld information so I would purchase their pills. I am going to sue them.

  • Didn't the medication's literature say that it could be habit forming? I know it says it in mine, and I'm sure this holds true for all controlled medications.

  • This is drug spam.

  • does this broad sound like the typical drug pusher? Just say NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

  • it doesn't matter, she's a pharmacologist, those people don't care at all for humanity

  • Sublingual is the best type since it works quick and gives a calming euphoric like high. This is why it is desired on the street.

  • when I took .5mg I had severe confusion

  • Ativan ..this drug is to treat symptoms, not cause.

    Psychotherapy is needed in parallel.

  • i love Vilift, it's really helping me in dealing with my anxiety and depression. i really love it.

  • Sure it makes you love everything. When you stop you will hate everything. Like existence.

  • I love my Ativan, tastes good after Ritalin

  • holy smokes! my psych told me to take lexapro an ssri with lorazmepam wow! luckily i have good intuition lol, and opted to not take the meds... what would happen if i did combine them?

  • Being a cardio spec., i personally refer patients in need of selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors to the psych ward. JK. SSRI's cobination with MAOI inhibitors is not a joke, never ever never use monoamine oxidase inhibitors in that combination. It can cause severe serotonnin syndrome. SSRIs raise blood levels and risk of toxicities of meds like Ativan so caution should be taken. Discuss any medical decisions with your doctor.

  • Ativan isn't a MAOI . So what are talking about ?

  • Nanumir said that he was about to take Lexapro© which is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor used to treat depression. I was saying that its combination with an MAOI inhibitor can cause Severe Serotonin Syndrome. Taking Ativan© with an SSRI could cause minor hormonal disturbancies and blood toxicities. Ativan© is a oral/iv administred form of Lorezopam, a benzodiazepine. Hope that cleared things up.

  • Well the Valium (or Ativan) would be weakened by the Lexapro. Lexapro is an anti-depressant, but is also stimulant. Taking this combination of drugs would only lessen the effects.

  • i love taking Vilift for my depression, it's very effective and no side effects.

  • id rather take gaba, iodine, lithium aspartate iodine and Magnesium Glycinate, it will have the same affect and cost a lot less with less risk because its all natural

  • all those will cost more...

  • If you want to get off benzos or other similar drugs then I strongly suggest you use the taper method proposed by Professor Heather Ashton in the UK. After 25 years it worked for me and I got my life back. She has written a manual, just google for her. Good luck.

  • you realize your belief is shit right? that people are scared about the future or their gullible so they will believe anything right? Scientology is not a religion, it is a cult, and while yeah i do wish to see non-violent ways to show you what we mean others out there just want to watch you burn. Don't be ignorant just think and look around you, you'll see that what you believe in, is wrong.

  • What exactly do you mean science proved most bodily disease in the middle ages? Other than scientists who were paving the way for the Renaissance most people believed that disease was caused by curses and evil spirits. Germ theory wasn't even developed until the 1800s.

I also don't get how you can say that psychaitry has not helped a single human being in history. What sort of ultra-large scale study have you conducted?

  • Many people were, and still are to a lesser extent hurt by surgery as well. During the end of the middle ages there were many people who took the exact same position you are when it came to opening the body. If we had listened to them we would not have organ transplants, pace makers, life saving apendex surgeries and others.

The mind cannot exist outside the physical world, every thought and feeling has a chemical representation. If we could map and controll them it opens up a new world.

  • In comparison with the medical study of the body, phychiatry is a completely new science. The methods are still very crude, but that is no reason to completely abondon it. What if people had stopped their study of the human body early in our history because patients had died from falty treatments?

  • wuss

  • i dont take meds, ignorant.

ur a bigtime piece of shit.

i hope you have a long harsh seres of panic attacks. see if dianetics will help you then. scilon scum.

  • fuck off scilon scum.

  • hello again doctor youtube :-)

Ive been prescribed 1Mg tablets of lorazapam too treat acute anxiety it helps me a lot calms me without a feeling of being wasted i take 2mg in morning and 3mg in evening and I'm calm throughout the day but boy oh boy id love too have a couple of bourbon whiskeys in the evening too unwind further do u think that is a good idea

  • Thats a large amount of benzo's, my friend. If you're already doing it, then I dont see a problem with it. They shouldnt interact toxically or anything, but make sure to keep it to a COUPLE drinks. Much more and you risk black outs.

  • ativan works great but they really should've told me bout that depressant side effect. that shit was not cool i ended up in a clinic

  • how i hate those chepa nimations with muppet-like neurons shining:( fui

  • wat r some good online drug stores / dealers?

  • do i need to say i have insomnia or feeling like im going to hurt myself? because from before ot was for anxiety and now they just give me all types of anti depressants (ie, zoloft, abilify). Granted i know (saying) i will harm myself will (possibly) get me commited.

  • how do i get this if the doctor had me on it, and now (doctorr(s)) wont prescribe it again?

  • Doctors will always give you, "the benzo talk". "They're addictive...blah blah blah..."

  • Hey, I've been taking anxiety attacks for 2 months from taking a pill that wasn't perscribed for me (dumb i know) it was seroquel. Anyway havn't got any treatment for it since. Freaking right out here. Just wondering if after Ativan where's off, is it true it will make it worse? I don't want it worse but i don't want to go crazy. Can it be bad if i don't take the ativan?? thanks.

  • i only felt bad and withdrawl around 48 hours without taking it, i remember feeling like i was dying and i was trying to figure out why and i remember i forgot to take my pill that day, im off it now cold turkey after taking it for a year. i feel better now and hate that i had to take it

  • Ambian huh? Tried Ambian CR or was it CL? It was 2 toned that I know. Oh and it tastes like shit.Infact all the Non benzo's taste like it. I just some Xanax peachs. Hard to get up here in Canada. Thats the only benzos that reports of large amounts of people getting hyper as opposed to slurred out. ITs a nice touch up if your on a small amount refined poppy juice oxycontin/opana/methadone/hydrocodone as in Diladid. Benzos by themselves are some light weight shit.A feeling Not worth a withdraw

  • i don't see anything about Haldol face syndrome

  • Some older anti-psychotics have a side effect of tardive dyskinesia which is like a constant chewing. You sometimes see this in elderly patients.

  • Thats why they do that with their mouth?

    Interesting!

  • Yes, and it's unfortunately because most nursing homes and doctors treat dementia patients with these older anti-psychotics in order to shut them up.

I think it's horrible. There are many newer ones that are "supposed" to help with anxiety and don't. Seraquel is one they pushed for a LONG time hard core & look what they're finding out now.

I say if someone's 70 years old and doesn't know what's going on, give them the benzos.

  • Anti-psychotics, including the new ones, actually made my anxiety worse and I had to be prescribed Parkinson's medicines and Requip to deal with the side effects, like uncontrollable muscle jerking. They really are trying to prescribe antipsychotics for EVERYTHING nowadays, from schizophrenia to anxiety, even ADHD. It's getting ridiculous.

  • You're not kidding about it getting ridiculous! People DO need benzodiazepines for a short amount of time.

I got my AARP in and it says it's going to start paying for benzos on one of the programs so maybe the docs will be pushing them more. Who knows?

God bless you sweetheart. Remember to breath. In for 3, out for 10 and make that tummy rise. You're going to be FINE!! I promise!

  • I hope so. I don't think benzos are all that horrible, but when they are prescribed, doctors really need to educate their patients about it. Although, I think in most cases the short acting benzos should only be prescribed as a PRN, though, instead of daily. That's the only problem I've ever noticed with the benzos - people just don't know what they are getting into, ie the seizures.

  • You are, you're going to be just fine. I think more than anything, living with panic d/o for so long has taught me how to cope with it. It's when I first went in for it at such a young age & was doing the whole "self-medicating" thing with coke & whiskey and all that jazz that the doc should've been like, 'Oh, if you're doing that stuff, I'm not putting you on an addictive substance' or at the VERY LEAST told me it was addictive. But I was so bad they didn't even help me until I learned more.

  • Don't forget that this is all a big money making industry and has nothing to do with helping people. They are legal drug pushers who file all the paper work and sweet talk the courts so they can sell their shit. It's all about money... like most things in life.

  • really? who gives shit i like drug i like drugs they get me high oh so high the simpletons you tube it if u can find it

  • By the way you're typing to me I can tell you're feeling a little out of it right now. Enjoy them while you can because as soon as you come off of them you will wish you were dead. Withdrawal from most drugs makes you sick for a while then you're okay in a couple of weeks while withdrawal from benzodiazapines makes your body fall apart from the inside out. Have fun with the seizures, vomiting, constipation, panic attacks, and heart problems!

  • @RebelliousPunk77 heart problems? how? maybe if you abused the fuck out of them but?

  • Comment removed

  • @RebelliousPunk77 Bullshit. You taper off of Lorazapam. If you are stopping cold turkey then you are doing it wrong. Being ignorant of how to take a medication doesn't make it bad.

Stop taking antibiotics early can promote resistant strains. Should we do away with antibiotics?

  • They get you high mate, then the bring you down for months. Start smoking and drinking, and a healthy run occasionally

  • That is true, go to any gp, they don't even know what these drugs our. Why not just down some beers instead, the withdrawl effects only last a freakin day.

  • I am having a hard time fathoming that this drug was created by humans. This has got to be the work of something more evil.
