Better. The entire experience, solo or multiplayer, seems a lot more polished than any of the Guitar Heroes.

Don't get me wrong, though. I'd love to see some of the older GH songs migrate over to Rock Band via DLC, as there were some pretty awesome tunes in their playlists.

It's ranked as 6th tier in game (out of nine 'difficulty tiers'), so yes, it's a bit tricky. There's a pretty massive jump in difficulty between Medium and Hard/Expert, too.

I can play it on Hard, though that's mainly because I like it and tend to play songs I like better than the songs that are... well... crap. (see: Welcome Home, Dead On Arrival)
