Also the park closes 5 months out of a year because of cold winters. Here in Florida you can ride a coaster every day even Christmas and New Years..
this ride was never a good roller coaster i mean really alot of roller coasters are slow lasting in florida if you want a great roller coaster go to cedar point and ride top thrill dragster

Montu gets too much credit for what most of you are giving it. For one its showing a lot of wear and there are newer roller coasters of the exact model in other places that are nicer. This ride shakes your head around more than Gwazi does and idk how people stand riding it. It's definitely not the best ride at Busch Gardens. Compare this ride to the Silver Bullet at Knotts Berry Farm in California and homeboy in the video wouldn't ride Montu anymore.

@socalschafer Totally not agree with you. I've been on many roller coasters and this one is super smooth. If you want a shaky B&M ride you must go on 'Dragon Kahn'. It's the only B&M coaster with 8 inversions.

Ok, heres my story i live 1 1/2 hrs away from Busch Gardens. For our end of the year field trip we get to go to busch gardens. I have always hated roller coasters. The first coaster i went on was Cheetah Chase and it was terrible. But for our field trip, i'm going to face my fears going on Montu, maybe Sheikra, and Kumba. Can you give me any tips on where to sit for the rides??? :)
@bobcomasta First of all!!! Forget your fears!! I was afraid o heights until I went on rollercoasters and the World Trade Center in New York City. I was 13 years old. Start off in the middle seats. And preferably the front row and keep your eyes open. Closing them only puts your body in more fear because you don't know which way you are going. Mostly the girls scream, I think its funny and laugh. You are going to get off the ride the same way you got on it. Have Fun!!!!!!!!
@Millenniumforce i rode just montu on friday bcuz i had a bad churro and i didn't feel good the rest of the day...but i rode montu front row and OMG was it fun!!!!!! i can't w8 to go back!!! On montu it pushed me out then sucked me in...it was awesomeee!!!!

@bobcomasta for sheikra i was super scared to go but now i absolutley love it ... if you ride it ride the second row which is the middle row, you wont be able to sike yourself out as much by being able to see and hear everything. montu is the best one... for first timers stick to the middle. there wont be as much g-force and you will be more on the fun but less scary side. kumba isnt to bad at all. i usaully ride 2nd row and i have equal amount of safe fun as anyone else, i hope this helped.

what are they talkin about? First Off Montu if still one of the best rollercoasters ive ever been on, maybe even THE best inverted. and Montu only goes 60 MPH not 65.
@cannibalonXthedead It was over 65 mph when it first opened in 1996. After a couple of years they had to put extra breaks on the tracks after the third inversion to slow it down. Not to mention they slow it down at the break station more than they did before just before it goes thru the last 2 inversions. Montu is still a good coaster but its boring now because its old and there are bigger ones out there that will blow Montu away.
@Millenniumforce oh, thats cool, i never knew it used to be faster. i think this is a better, more filling ride though than 400ft tall 100 mph rides that have 1 hill and last 20 seconds
@cannibalonXthedead Your right!! Like Kingda Ka and Top Thrill Dragster. I think they suck, because they last under a minute and you got to wait 2 hours on line. My 3 top favorite rollercoasters are number one NITRO, number two Millenniumforce, and number 3 Goliath. Until I ride more It could change. I love long time and 0 G's

@TheThundercoaster Top speed hits at the bottom of the first drop before the loop. About 90% of the time most rollercoasters hit there top speed at the bottom of the hill after it goes over the lift. Yes Iam bored of it but Busch Gardens is starting to build a launch coaster and it should open by next May. Also I am trying to get a job there as ride operator for one of there coasters. @Waddaleman i have a weak stomach too but i went on it twice in a row yesterday. the main thing is not to eat or drink anything within a few hours of riding it and make it one of the first things you ride. also dont ride it too many times in a row because after the second i almost threw up.

@tbg7654321 i went yesterday (a wednesday) and we were able to go on montue and everyride like 2 or 3 times with almost no wait time. (the most we waited was on sheikra and that was like 5 mins) so wednesday is prolly best.

@TheThundercoaster Top speed hits at the bottom of the first drop before the loop. About 90% of the time most rollercoasters hit there top speed at the bottom of the hill after it goes over the lift. Most do!! But there are few that have somewhere else that hits top speeds elswhere. Thanks for asking. P.S. Going to six Flags over Georgia next week to film Goliath and Mind Bender. Yes Iam bored of it but Busch Gardens is starting to build a launch coaster and it should open by next May. Also I am trying to get a job there as ride operator for one of there coasters. Not really, Montu was built before Silver Bullet in the 90's. Plus, there's slight differences.

@Waddaleman i have a weak stomach too but i went on it twice in a row yesterday. the main thing is not to eat or drink anything within a few hours of riding it and make it one of the first things you ride. also dont ride it too many times in a row because after the second i almost threw up.

@tbg7654321 i went yesterday (a wednesday) and we were able to go on montue and everyride like 2 or 3 times with almost no wait time. (the most we waited was on sheikra and that was like 5 mins) so wednesday is prolly best.
