  • Certified Intergalactic! Beethoven Cadenza - Schneiderhan Class IGBM*

    The best in its class!

*IGBM (Inter-Galactic Ballistic Missile) - a sonar projectile

  • One of the best interpretations of this violin concert.

  • This cadenza is written on themes by Beethoven with Percussin. It's the standard cadenza for this concerto subscribtion for the piano.

  • Certified Intergalactic! The Schneiderhan Star! Writing cadenzas for Beethoven Violin Concerto stops here.

  • Absolute brillance!

  • this is marvelous! thanks for the heads up MoonB...and thanks for posting this wonderful piece! I want to hear more of this artist.

  • roy orbison playing the violin - great visual!

of course the auditory experience is great

thnaks for sharing this w me

  • You're absolutely right! :-)

  • The album I have of the violin concerto contains these concertos, the part at 4:28 is my favourite bit of music.

    Also love the final cadenza

  • Genius!! verrückt...

  • Techniquement surhumain . Musicalement sublime. La technique au service de l'art

  • I enjoyed listening to these cadenzas - they were unknown to me. Bravo to Schneiderhan!!!

  • These cadenzas are from the piano transcription of the Violin Concerto written by Beethoven sort of by popular demand. Since Beethoven was a pianist, primarily, he wrote the cadenzas heard here, though they are seldom played by violinists.

  • Dude, this is Ludwig's violin concerto. Unknown? Then there is much for you to discover. Enjoy.

  • If you are a violinist and ever suffered through the technical exercises of Sevcik and asked, why am I going through this torture, Schneiderhan was a Sevcik pupil. So was Erica Morini. So ... back to the music stand, and suffer!

  • Yes. We are really proud of Sevcik in the Czech republic. Sevcik was extremely hardworking (I read his letter he wrote when he was a child, he wrote to his father "Yesterday I practiced trill with my fourth finger 500 times"), very strict on his pupils. No one of them practiced less than six hours each day. Don't forget Jan Kubelik, he was his pupil too. Do you know his "School of intonation"?

  • I agree with you. I think my technique would be nothing without Sevcik, I think so even after completing rode caprices, kreutzer, dont, and lots and lots of carl flesch. I like to think that most studies make the hands work a lot, and thats good, but sevcik makes each individual finger work with every other finger on the hand. so flexible. i'm preparing for my first concerto performance with an orchestra playing beethoven. what do you think about carl flesch edition and cadenzas?

  • I don´t know, because I don´t know the edition.

    Ask somebody else :-)

  • Flesch / Rostal edition is good. For me, one of the best cadenzas is Kreisler's one.

  • Czech republic? Gotta give it to Dvořák. Symphony 9 (5th some 40 years ago). Excellent composition.

  • I am realted to him. hes my grandfaters great grandpa

    my name is hanah schneiderhan

this is nto spam and i am not lyineg this is the honest truth

  • no it's Schnittke cadenza!!

  • No, the Schnittke cadenza i different.

  • Have you listened to Schneiderhan playing Mozart A major concerto? There is a cool cadenza in the third movement. I don´t know who composed it, but it is possible that it was Schneiderhan. It really worth listening.

  • This cadenza is so long...but so well composed and played...beautiful

  • Is this a transcription of the cadenza Beethoven wrote for the piano?

  • Yes it is. Transcriped by Wolfgang Schneiderhan himself.

  • Cool.
