I started noticing lately that I wasn't getting as good a signal as I had been getting before, I done what a few suggested on this video and replaced my rg59 cable with rg6 cable, and my signal inside the house is a thousand times better, getting reception in rooms of my house is wasn't getting before. Thx 4 the tip.
Actually, there are some great wifi antenna boosting tricks that require little more than card board and tin foil that you held you with your problems inside your place too.
I just bought one of these and found out that the included cable sucks and the same thing happens with an open area in the warehouse I'm in. After reading another review on amazon, the guy suggests replacing the RG59 wire with an RG6 wire. It will work much better. Also, if possible get insulated RG6 cable, it will have less interference with other electronic devices.
We got the Verizon Network extender. it works great but you have to have a higher speed then 1.5 mpbs down to surf the web on the computer and talk on the cell phone at the same time with out interference.
wow. looks like a great device. cinder block walls are a killer. but i would trade my lead paint walls for cinder block. i have spent so much time scraping paint its just a habit now. i would get crazy and run non shielded coax all over my house and attach it to the antenna. you know what else might work, try mounting the outdoor antenna to a satelite dish.
yes, it covers evdo 3g service. I have a blackberry storm as you can see in the video and I have the data package vzw makes you get when you buy a BB and I went ahead and got their tethering service.
Does this repeater also repeat the EVDO 3G Data services for Verizon? I use the Vpak so I have internet service right now for my enV Touch so I'm curious if this will give me internet access through 3G.
In here about two foot from it now after I got your message and its showing five bars or full. If you decide to get one, or any other brand, I don't think you'll be un happy. I was very skeptical about it even working and it does great. Any other questions don't hesitate to ask. Thanks
