  • something id like to say is that capoeira now days is used more as a dance thing and in a real fight u wouldt be dancing around but you sure as hell would be incorperating the kicks youv learned so i brazil in oldtimes whn teaching the natives/ slaves would do theyd use the dance as cover but dont quote me on it i might be wrong

  • des de eldragon poja

  • gong at the begining is from akira :D

  • @rickames why would you not let anyone do capoeira? shouldnt judge something by its cover. all martial arts have strengths and weaknesses i take this art and i know its strengths and i know most of its weaknesses. it is effective and very deceptive. the ginga as well in a real fight is not used.

  • waste of movenment & energy! becoming of age anyone want be able to do it. i would never let my family participate in an art like this!

  • @0:32 insane!!

  • the ginga is used in the hoda (meaning circle or game), not in real life.

  • @creativehotbox roda (pronounced as hoda)

  • They do use ginga, and the fighters are capoeiristas by far.

  • Bro, here in this vid they clearly use Tae Kwon Do movements, even tho they try to do the ginga it still looks weird for me. Search this video " luta boa do capoeira =) ", the user is Freskito, THAT'S REAL CAPOEIRA, once again, it's my humble opinion, Oh, and bout The Capoeiristas thing, that's a portuguese word and even a spanish word to call them, they will always be capoeira fighters in english dude. Jsut that "by far" lil buddy. Yes! even tho it's a show it looks weird.

  • I don't know much about Tae Kwon Do, but I know what real capoeira looks like as I practice it (not for a long time, but anyway).

As for ginga - sometimes it's not very well visible, when you play fast, kick, dodge, jump and stuff.

  • Nopes, they are capoeiristas - of a different group then you most likely - Looks a lot like Bimba Regional - and its an exhibition - probably a martial art exhibition, so they had to show the "strikes" as in maretelos and chapas.

  • This video doesn't look like it has something to do with the 'real' capoeira...

  • no shit its an exhibition
