Whatever boost you got off of them is negligible. Even a TINY little bit of scientific knowledge would have saved you the time and trouble. Save your $ for leathers/ helmet.
this is not 'the next level'. Doing SL right is more than having a luge and a hill. Anybody can ride down a hill fast. There are other aspects to respect. Since you do not have leathers, you should at least invest in a big ziplock bag to keep your scabs in. It is only a matter of time. Leathers way cheaper than the 'cheapest' hospital visit. Respect yourself and you respect fellow streetlugers.
