You had me hooked until you said Power Supply. Can't you power off of USB? You should be able to install a rechargable battery for peak loads that trickle charges off the USB port. Anyway, great idea, but unworkable solution.
I've never seen a keyboard like that in my life, very unusual. I think some people may consider that keyboard to be a gimmick, other's may not, how reliable are they?
