  • I'm one

  • I love this video its amazing ! but why are all the pictures of guru nanak so white skin lol

  • @ThePunjabdholi123456 Some are of a darker complexion others of a fairer, its the artists impression.

  • GURU NANAK WAS MUSLIM HE DID NOT FORMULATED THE RELIGION SIKHISM ,

IT WAS DONE BY THE OTHER SELF PROCLAIMED 9 GURU'S, SIKHISM IS AN OFFSHOOT OF ISLAM ,THE GURU GRANTH SAHIB IS INSPIRED BY BOTH QURAN AND HINDU SCRIPTURES ,

  • @shael1000 This is getting tiring. Guru Ji was born into a Hindu family and disowned the falsehoods from Hinduism and Islam, and adding different teachings to make Sikhi. You state that Guru Granth Sahib Ji is inspired by both muslim and hindu saints (not teachings) but Guru Ji did not compile it, it were the following Gurus who you claim created Sikhi. Get one thing straight, Sikhi was born in 1469 with the birth of the first guru. END OF. Any similar comments will be stricken and users banned.

  • @ysderby Ysderby please could you just remove these comments. These guys know the Exact truth but try to hide it and when people read there comments they get confused. Please just remove them and block them

  • @JasmeetsPissedOffDad These comments shouldn't be removed because the sangat needs to know what falsehoods there are in the world, this will help to eliminate them.

  • @ysderby get one thing right that no non muslim is allowed in the holy city of mecca ,then how was guru nanak allowed , in the history of islam no non muslim is allowed in mecca till date

  • @shael1000 Really? No muslim is allowed in Mecca? Then granted he must have been muslim. Unless, the muslims of that time believed him a muslim like you do. He entered Mecca neither a muslim or a hindu but as a human. He had no religion but that of truth. My friend I understand that non-muslims cannot enter Mecca which I find deeply disturbing, but nonetheless, This does not prove Guruji was a muslim.

  • Guru Nanak Sahib Ji is the Perfect True Guru who came to spread Light (enlightenment) in the world clouded with darkness (ignorance). The Hindus revered Guru Nanak as "Guru", Muslims revered Guru Nanak as "Peer" & "Baba", and Buddhists revere Guru Nanak as the 8th incarnation of Buddha. No other Prophet or founder of any of the world religions has been claimed to belong to another religious community. Being Sikhs we should be proud that the whole world claims Guru Nanak is theirs.

  • wonderful

  • dhan gurunanak.......proud of being a follower of sikhi................bole so nihal sat shri akal......

  • @ intimidator 001 - Learn how to keep faith. Criticism only shows ur inner insecurity.

  • THE 8TH GURU WAS MOCKED FOR HAVING HIS NAME AS KRISHNA BY A BYSTANDER AT THAT INSTANT GURU HARKRISHAN MADE A DEAF AN DUMB PERSON STANDING NEARBY RECITE THE WHOLE GEETA, THE MOCKER FELL AT HIS KNEES,

  • Dhan baba Nanak Ji

  • @ intimidator ..wat da hell u r saying abt guruji ... guru nanak said -- so kyu manda akhiye jit jhame rajan .pls read histry v clearly ...

  • Thanks for sharing.. You should also take a look at the GurmatCollege website for some amazing views by learned Scholars and Professors.

    Gur Fateh!

  • SIKHI ALL THE WAYYYYYYY! No other religion compares to Sikhi and never ever will. I am proud to be a Sikh and wouldnt have it anyother way. Any other person who says bad things about Sikhs are just JELOUS that are not one, and you know who you are!!!

  • let me ashame u about being a singh. Here is ur history:

Ur all 10 gurus were either the offsprings or relatives of their predecessors, except for angad dev. FAVOURTISM

Ur 8th guru, harkrishan was a 7yr old. A kid was ur guru. STUPIDITY.

Out of approx 30 children of your 10 gurus, only 3 were daughters which suggests that your gurus used to kill girlchild. CHILD KILLERS

Ur tenth guru had 2 wives, killed ppl, and used to eat meat. IMMORAL

All of them, males. GENDER INEQUALITY.

  • @intimidator001 Sorry you can't make me ashamed of being a Singh. It is impossible to summarise the Sikh history as you are, but let me respond to your accusations:

    - Do you know why after Guru Amar Das Ji the Guru's were related? It was a request by his daughter Bibi Bhani Ji, to which Guru Ji accepted. Favourtism doesn't come into it, do you even know the tests the third guru put his son-in-law through? My friend you are very mistaken indeed.

  • @intimidator001 Our 8th Guru, their hand removed all pain. He was infact five when he became Guru and there were ignorant people back then who said this was wrong. But Guruji shut their mouths when a pandit questioned the great Guru. My friend, spirituality doesn't understand age, a child is sometimes much wiser than an elder. And the 8th Guru was someone very special indeed.

  • @intimidator001 I honestly will take your word on the number of children the gurus collectively had. Did they have only three daughters? Interesting... I am assuming you have no understanding of how children are formed? If you did then this could all be a coincidence. My friend, do not suggest things without evidence!

  • @intimidator001 Guru Gobind Singh Ji did have 2 'wives'. Yes. Thank you for the history lesson. Quotation marks because one partner Mata Sundari was his life partner, he had all four sons with. The other is the Khalsa's mother, Mata Sahib Kaur, she was promised to Guru Ji which he could not refuse. Oh and during war (he never initiated war), people are often killed, the key thing is he didn't kill innocents. And nope he didn't eat meat, he wrote a hukamnama (order) against it.

  • @intimidator001 And gender inequality, well, its a toughie, and I'm sure people will have their own opinions. But in my opinion, in that era nobody would have listened to a female Guru. I agree that this may be wrong, but my friend, Sikhi is a very pro-female religion, the first religion in fact that made it a rule that women should not have to wear the veil. Please do not disrespect religions, instead learn to live with them. If there are differences, just relax and agree to dissagree.

  • @intimidator001 our gurus never killed children, its paap. About the child thing, you cant choose if you want a boy or a girl, it happens. Guru Gobind Singh Ji Khalsa was a strict vegetarian and Sikhism is not about fighting, the killing you call it was due to the mughal army pressuring the true panth. U need respect for other religions man.

  • @intimidator001 u r a big fool in the universe....fighting against religion..if u cant respect anyone ......dont argue............

  • @intimidator001 hah nice try

  • @intimidator001 waheguru! waheguru! waheguru! Slander us and our forefathers...we've learned to be enlightened and uplifted by such words! May god bless you

  • @intimidator001 First you need to research and read the complete history and then only you have right to comment on it. Still Guru's and true saints(from all religion) believe on 1 moral:- AVAL ALLAH NOOR OPAYA KUDRAT DE SAB BANDE

But we human body and soul are the one that fight and prejudiced against religion.

  • @intimidator001

are u retarded? do u even know why these people are our guru's? u retarded troll just fuck off and mind ur own religion. Well what else are we gonna do dance while they kill everyone on the Sikh religion? no, we fight back u little douche bag.

  • Nice video--not feeling the music choice but other than that thank you for the great video.

  • @thescorpionking2020 No he was not. He was a Sikh, a learner of the way to reach god.

  • Comment removed

  • @thescorpionking2020 From the translation you state, it seems Guru Ji was seeking darshan of Akaal Purakh, he can visit you anywhere as he is all-pervading. Thus, if they worshipped God at a temple, this is also not against Sikhi, but a Sikh cannot worship deities.

  • @ysderby now where in history he proclaimed he was a sikh ,he was a hindu

  • @shael1000 He was nothing. He was a disciple of Waheguru, Allah, Raam, God. I did not say he was a Sikh. I was talking of his disciples the Sikhs. They are told, by Guru Nanak Dev Ji to not worship deities.

  • Wah Guru Nanak Dev Ji his teaching has always inspire me

  • Very nice video on Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji

  • This slide show was a good attempt marred by the over enthuethsiasm. Please get your fact together. Guru Nanak never met Akbar because Akbar was born in 1542 A.D. and Guru Nanak left the earth in 1539.

Guru Nanak denounced all rituals and sacraments then how come you are showig bebe Nanki tying a rakhi on his wrist. This means he is endorssing women are weak and should be protected by men.

  • We thank you for your compliment but are confused as to why our mistakes were born out of over-enthusiasm. Either way, you are correct, Guru Ji in fact met Babar. We would like to apologise to the sangat for our mistake and hope Guru Ji will bestow blessings so that such mistakes are not made again.

About the Rakhi image this is purely an artists' impression, this could be taken up with them directly. If you watch Rakhi, another podcast, we have outlined why rakhi is a demeaning institution.

  • Happy birthday baba ji

  • happy birthday baba ji

  • Wadia kepp it up :D

  • BOLE SO NIHAAL SAT SRI AKAL.

  • WaheGuru

  • My friend, followers of Islam, may believe that the Prophet Mohammad is the final messenger, but other religions may feel likewise about their own teachers. There is no "Sikh Book" whatever the Gurus wrote were compiled into our forever Guru, Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Guru Nanak Dev Ji has a very long and important story, such so, that it cannot be reduced to 500 characters or less. My friend, I leave you with this, a Muslim should be a true Muslim and a Hindu; likewise and also the Sikhs.

  • ysderby .... did guru nanak write the sikh scripture since you say there is no sikh book. what do you mean thers no sikh book

  • religonatfocus, we do not describe Guru Granth Sahib Ji as a book, they are "pargat Guran ki deh" the embodiment of the light of the ten Gurus. Guru Nanak Dev Ji wrote shabads which are found in Guru Granth Sahib Ji, yes.

  • hi i just have some other questions... i hardly know anything in sikhism...

    1. what do you mean by "embodiment"

    2. what is "shabad"

    3. i know manny people who are sikh and hindu at the same time?

  • No worries,

    1. Embodiment, means body, so Guru Granth Sahib Ji is the body of the Ten Gurus, this is why we say that the Sikhs do not have a holy book.

    2. Shabad means word, so Gurshabad would mean the word of the Guru.

    3. It is quite unlikely a person can be a Sikh and Hindu at the same time. This is because they have conflicting views, Hindus believe in idol worship of many gods, whereas Sikhs believe in meditating on one God.

If you have any more questions please do not hesitate to ask.

  • so how do people know if a guru is the holy body ?

and how do sikhs pray..... the followers of guru nanak were muslims he never told them to stop being a muslim... in fact in majh it says "let gods grace be the mosque...let the quran be good..." the sikh relgion differes from other religion some people say sikhs follow what guru nanak said so are people supposed to see it as a religion or a community? thats the big question thats probably the reason why some of my muslims bros write bad here

  • Guru Gobind Singh Ji gave the order to give Guru Granth Sahib Ji the respect of the body of all ten gurus. The Sikhs pray in many ways, Meditation, Singing and Recitation. He never did, but they followed what he said from which sprang the Sikh religion. It is a religion, following what all ten Gurus taught. I do not think this is why your "bros" write bad, if they write bad, it's to incite racial hatred or confusion. You cannot justify writing bad about someone's religion on ignorance.

  • @thescorpionking2020 Those Sikhs who worship in temples are not Sikhs, a Sikh is one who only bows his head to Guru Granth Sahib Ji and worships god. Visiting is a different thing entirely, I have visited many churches in my time, but have not worshipped there or to Jesus Christ, that is not to say this is wrong, but something that Sikhs do not do. It is wrong for Sikhs to worship Devi/Devteh - They should only remember God.

  • Comment removed

  • @thescorpionking2020 In Bachittar Natak, Guru Gobind Singh Ji writes, the devi/devtas are those who were sent down to preach the name of God. Instead they preached their own name, thus more bhagats/gurus/prophets were sent to do the same. Sikhs should not worship images of gurus as this is idol worship, if you follow guru granth sahib ji, you also follow all the gurus as it is their teachings enshrined within guru ji.

  • Comment removed

  • @thescorpionking2020 No it is not possible to practice both religions as religions are contradictory, be it Islam and Hinduism, Christianity and Judaism, there are those differences that the two will not agree upon which will force one who tries to not follow either religion to the full. If one does not do this, then it could be suggested that one cannot be classified as an adherent of said religion.

  • @ysderby guys don't fight over hindu sikh thing, if you read guru nanak's life incidents, Guru Nanak really did not critisized any path or practice except the pakhand in religion. if you want to follow Guru Nanak just follow Naam simran, everything else will fall in place by itself

  • @101519759 We are not fighting but debating, Guruji himself would engage in debates with sadhus. He did not criticise the paths, but at that time, some would argue to this day, there are those religions that still encompass ritualistic and superstitious beliefs and those religions have moved away from the path of reaching akaal purakh, that is what Guruji did criticise. Yes, I agree, naam simran is what we need to do, but there is no harm in engaging in debates. Right?

  • but i dont understand why even gurudwaras have pictures of our gurus when we are not suppose to worship them, and one more thing i dont understand if there is one god then why does he wants to be worshiped by following particular religions instead of following 2-3 or more religions simultaneously... some questions seem to have no answers... but i still believe in god and fear him..

  • @ajrangar Pictures are there to depict history it is an artist's impression, and because they are Sikh-related they are hung in the Gurdwara. They are not there to worship instead a quick reminder of our history. Honestly, I don't have a clear cut answer to why God wants us to worship him. But in my opinion, he doesn't he wants us to love him and reunite with him, only way to do so is to create good karam. Best way to do that? Worship Waheguru & recite the true name.

  • I would like to commend you on your efforts to publicise your opinion, I, likewise, would like to do similar. There are some similarities with Islam, for example, a belief in one god. But then there is Christianity and Buddhism that also believe this, so it could be that Islam is not the only path. My friend, let us for a moment satisfy an idea that different religions are founded not on similarities but on differences. If we accept this premise, then we shall see that there are many.

  • guru nanak was a muslim, evrything that video says points towards guru nanak being a muslim...fear none but god...spread the word of god...share your food (household)...live a life of good deeds...he gave the dawa wherever he went...always remember god...god is one...guru nanak went to mecca and did hajj,

and on guru nanaks robes it said, la illaha ilallah, muhammudur rasoolullah

that means, there is no god but Allah, and muhammad is the messenger of Allah

  • I refute your premise my friend. Guru Nanak Dev Ji said one statement point-blank; "There is no Hindu or Muslim." Yes there are many similarities within Guru Nanak Dev Ji's teachings and those in Islam, but some can also be found in good human beings. Dawah is a type of missionary, this is what Guru Ji was not, he taught those who wished to be taught not impressing his views upon anyone. Yes he did go to Makkah, but do you know what was taught there?

  • The robes I have never heard about, but I cannot accept this as reality as Guru Ji had great respect for all religions. Placing words close to Islam on clothing which frequently becomes dirty would be classed as great disrespect. I do not refute the fact that some texts, Hindu & Muslim, were read by Guru Ji, but that is because Guru Ji agreed with them. If you are going by teachings, then my friend all have claim to have Guru Ji as their prophet, it is good you are taking an interest.

  • Guru Nanak Dev Ji: "I do not make pilgrimages to Mecca, nor do I worship at Hindu sacred shrines.I serve the One Lord, and not any other. ||2||I do not perform Hindu worship services, nor do I offer the Muslim prayers.I have taken the One Formless Lord into my heart; I humbly worship Him there. (GGS, p1136)"

  • hahahah, i never stop laughing when i hear these idiotic muslims claiming that Guru Nanak was a muslim. The robe is a fake wake up

  • Guru Nanak was not Muslim he was Sikh. Get your facts Straight. and maybe illaha Mean something else. If you were Punjabi you would know he founded the Sikh Race. Get your facts Straight.

  • good work, keep it up.

  • i doubt guru nanak let his sister tie a thread (rakhdi) on his wrist like its shows in this video

he had refused to wear a thread (tagg) around his body

  • We agree with your observation and we would like to stress it was not the scene we were trying to put forward but only displaying a portrait of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

  • i love you guru nank you helped me become a good sikh
