Everybody, put away your iPhones, iPads, GPS's, hybrid cars and Bluetooths. Take out your suit and top hat and for the ladies, your pretty corseted flowery dresses and step into your Model T and go to the latest Ragtime concert. A time when people were people and knew how to socialize like civil human beings! LOL, j/k about the whole thing! I wouldn't trade this era for anything even if we are a little distracted by our personal technology, myself included.
@jaroncreed. I have some over a hundred years old I can play at home. I don't like them too much. It's just too far back. I love 20s music a lot more.
Yeah. This was the first. The one the Smithsonian included in their pop music anthology. The best. All the rest were trading on this one. She certainly never outdid herself as performed here. Wonderful. The Smith cleaned it up a lot. Couldn't clean it up here? Don't know why, but this clip sticks an awful lot.

Its actually a cover of this song. One of the many covers of the same song in the first season.

What the EFF is the song played at the end of Boardwalk Empire episode 9 with the failed assassination attempt
I thought it was this but it sounds like a cover considering this version is older than father time

Sophie's first recording of what became her signature song, in 1911 for Edison, was also her best. They didn't have to be miked in those days.
