Look up WHOLESALE and you can usually get a lot of feathers for a small amount of money. I got 15 for $8. They are usually natural feathers that haven't been dyed buy you can buy dyed wholesale as well. I recommend featherswholesale on Etsy. Great seller and service, very willing to help and message and ships impossible fast. :D

cont. from prev. message: it in with your leave in conditioner. Mix it in your hand and then apply it as you normally would to your hair. Apply it to your roots and hairline VERY LAST THING! Because there won't be enough left on your hands to make the roots of your hair look greasy! I hope these little tip help YOU out as much as your video helped me! cont. from prev. reply: protecting your skin! Just put a small amount of the same sunscreen you buy for your skin (at least spf 15) on your hands. Rub your hands together to warm up the lotion so it will absorb into your hair for better protection. Then start from the ends of your hair and work your way up and apply that lotion to your hair! It will NOT make it look greasy because you don't have to use much. About the same amount as your leave in conditioner. You can actually mix to be cont.

The reason the roots of your hair are much darker than the rest of your hair is because the rest of your hair is long enough to be exposed to the sun EVERY TIME you go outdoors without protecting your hair from the sun's rays. These are REAL feathers... so roosters are slaughtered and skinned just to support this trend. Ladies, you dont need to buy the real ones,, there are so many good cruelty free brands out there. google "Picasso Hair Feathers". Thats where i got mine, and i love them. Also..you get way more for your money and they look better anyways.

Great video for feather hair extensions. I'm with you...no special kit is necessary. I actually use a crochet hook to put the hair into the bead. I sell awesome feathers on eBay at: marilyn112687. I don't have a lot of the super skinny feathers. I like feathers that look like feathers! I have lots of different shapes, sizes and colors. I'll link my future auctions to your site.

@beachcurls. You can brush your hair they suggest using a soft bristle brush, nothing with little beads at the end of the spires as they get caught in the bead and pull. Hold where the bead is then brush just to make sure it doesnt tear.

15 dollars for a feather is WAYYYYY MUCH.

I have many friends who are cosmetologists, and they all said just to buy the beads and pliers, and go to a bass pro store and get the feathers made for fishing lures! They are SO easy to put on. I'm an idiot and I did it. It's essentially foolproof. Why are you paying so much? DX

I didn't pay for them that way, I got mine professionally done at regis, and they costed forty bucks for three. So. I'm just stating that my cosmetologist friends told me it was too much.

And if they're rooster feathers, they wont catch on fire. Regardless of whether they're for fishng or not.
