Good gods, you elegant, elegant man. Such a stud and what an actor. Loved him in Scarlett Pimpernel and Pygmalion. I need to go through the rest of his filmography, I'm obsessed! His face is delicious! ^3^
Sorry forgot to add I've got some audio CD's of Howard from the Eddie Cantor radio programme if anyone's interested. Being a variety show there's not nearly enough Howard, but they're still really interesting, especially a very touching scene he does with his daughter. I don't have copying equipment but can try to track down someone who does. Feel free to contact me.
Thanks for your lovely comments. The male 'Movie Legends' subjects are usually the most difficult to produce and I find it satisfying to deliver a good representation of a male Star. I hope this tribute will help to continue the memory of a major Hollywood player.
Sheer poetry ... what a wonderful job you did on this Basil. It's not easy to do justice to Leslie Howard. Especially love the shots of him at home and in the recording studio. What a remarkable man not just as an actor but as a person as well; willing to give his life for the sake of the world's freedom. His words in 'The Scarlet Pimpernel' & 'Pimpernel Smith' hold true - he'll always be back. He never truly left. Thank you so much for this.
I had such a crush on Leslie Howard in my much younger days! I bought the video of the 1st picture I saw him in entitled "Pygmalion" with Wendy Hiller. Of course, "Gone With the Wind" is an all time classic, and Vivien Leigh is the only actress that could do "Scarlet" justice in my humble opinion! Thanks so much for posting this; it's on my Favs. List, Natch! Love, Liz (Lizzy _Tish)
Does anyone have 'Never the Twain Shall Meet" please.
