Jack is the name of the a character in notes the narrator found in Tyler's house. The one who wrote it wrote about organs in the first person.

Jack is not his name it never says. Tyler is made up, its probably not the narrator's real name. The name jack comes more from the book. Though Jack is a nickname, because its the easiest thing to call him. The reason its not tyler, is because why would he create a dual personality with his own name? And then not know the truth about him? Tyler is its own character, made up or not.
