I've got RE4 for Wii and I enjoy it, but I don't know if the new controls are worth buying it again, even if it is only $20. I would probably go with RE:UC if I were you, just for the new levels and stuff.

Be like a boxer, keep your hands up(the gun) be ready for the next move, and dont let your guard down. Keep the aim steady, and you should be able to survive most encounters.

btw, the reason the handgun comes with unlimited ammo is for one reason. TO SHOOT EVERYTHING IN SIGHT. Weather its a vase, a picture, even a glass of water, if you dont have enemys on you(and sometimes even when they are) shoot the h*** out of stuff! More ammo, granades, weapons and bonuses can be found in and behind alot of stuff. Even some levels require that you have all the bonuses and such. I think the most imporant thing is this.

Its actually a decently lengthed game with good replay value. You can play as different characters, try to earn points for guns, find secret letters and journals, etc. So, I would say to beat the basic game would e about....20 hours? But, again, finding everything and unlocking levels will add to it, plus, again, the replay value is excellent : )

Next, if your surrounded, go for the closest enemy. Even if you shake him off and everything, by the time you do, the rest are already on top of you, which makes things a TAD more complicated. If there are more then one kind of enemy(dogs, those stupid baboonsD:<) keep your aim ready, and try not to run out of ammo when the thing charges. Dont take down that zombie thats 5 seconds away, and then have a dog eat your brains out.

Some tips if your playing

If you have time and your about to head into another room, reload, even if you have almost full ammo, ESPECIALLY if you have low health at the moment. One bullet into that last close zombies brain can save your a**. Next, dont try and just conserve everything. While its best to use the handgun, its not good to die cause you were trying to save that last grenade, or 3 shotgun shells. The game will provide you with ammo, as long as you dont use special weps TO often.

The wii zapper increases your acuracy and your steadieness, so its good for small targets(Like zombie brainsXD). But it slows you down just a tad, but tell me, which would you prefer? Double in speed to shoot the thing in the leg, or double the acuracy to blow the things head off? Ive never even tried it without the zapper, and even the thought of it is kinda weird, its like a different game. This game is awesome for peopple who like to go to the arcade and play the zombie shooters.

heh, this game rocks. I own it, I also have the Wii zapper. This game is really good, 2 thumbs up, 10 out of 10. This game is hard at first, the first 4 levels are weird to play, but after that it gets easier cause you know how to shoot and reload and everything.

Sorry to say this but, they totally screwed RE4 & 5 by taking out the t virus = no more zombies. Their "infected" with the las plagas I presume. I just rented this game, if you like arcade shooters its a 5/5, waay more fun then RE4. ALSO you can move around, you can look around with nunchuck and shoot doors to go into them :D

Wierd. I was expecting a 3rd person perspective. The ideas seem to improve in some ways from the reguler first person zombie shooter. It does eem though it should be a 2 amn co-op for it. Perhaps in the final development they'll implement it.

Fuck all of you, this is gonna be fucking sweet, even if it isn't a horror game, you know it's RE, it's still gonna have there puzzles we all love (Not really), the Crimson Heads look fucking alsome, it's gotta have some diffencnts levels, RE1, RE2, RE3, REVX, and RE4, all had diffent levels of difficully so shut the hell up! what bothers me is that there arent any bullet holes / damage physics when you shoot an enemie....If house of the dead 2 can do it ( which was made years ago ) than so can RE UC, there's no excuse...on the positive side, the environment physics look gorgeouse.

I cannot believe that the RE franchise has been reduced to a "ride-the-rails" FPS like the kind you'd expect to find on some crappy 5th Gen. arcade machine. Looks way to easy and the voice-acting is horrendous.

The re4 port looks awesome, but even that isn't much of a consolation prize for making us Wii-owners miss out on re5 (why is that again?)

Holy Shit this game is gonna be awesome. I Kinda like how its more RE than Time Crisis because in Time Crisis you have to press a button to come up and then shoot. In reality if you were in a Mansion there would be no place to hide or "pop and shoot"
