  • omg i miss those penske porsches so much

  • i'm going there tomrrow !

  • The XM Acura driven by Kanaan wasn't in this video, although there was a good batle between them later in the race. Kanaan won that one.

  • 1:15 - That corner combo is awesome... to watch live that is, hate it in pretty much any racing game.

  • gotta brake to stabilise, the brake hard, bleed off the brakes on turn in and let the car coast through, put the power down when level.

  • Ur talking about the corkscrew right?

  • aye aye

  • Where was the incredible battle? All I saw were cars following each other.

  • Well, it certainly is not entertaining or understood unless you're driving. So yeah, I know what you mean.

  • Kanaan and Pagenaud finished side by side at the finish line. That piece of debris would not be good to hit by a Le Mans Prototype. NASCAR is staged and irrelevant.

  • If they were on oval you'd bet that they'd throw a full course caution. A single shred of debris is too dangerous to be left on the oval cause any puncture can cause serious damage and possibly injury

  • Oh please. They would throw some duct tape on it and continue there redneck version of racing.

  • by "serious damage" I mean a massive puncture that would send the car straight into the outside wall. Have you SEEN how many oval deaths there were (nascar, indycar or otherwise) because of a debris that punctured a tire?

There's also absolutely NO RUNOFF AREA on the oval....compared to the million acres of runoffs and sand traps on road courses (which makes road courses lame)

  • @thelizardfolk Lame? Racing is not about daredevils risking their life! For that you have evel knievel!! Racing is about skill, strategy and technology.

  • @LeontariF1 Who says that oval doesnt take strategy?

Also, if racing is all about technology then logically f1 2010 is better than the golden age of f1 back in the 70s and 80s? Right.. some true motorsports fan you are.

here's another example. 90s DTM versus the "technologically superior" modern DTM. So which one turned out to be shit? the modern DTM. HMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @thelizardfolk In ovals there are so many incidents safety cars and cautions you need luck on top of strategy!

About technology, you have to compare cars of the same era! Without technology you wouldn't have the manufacturers racing, the reason they are there is to advertise their brand by designing faster cars than their competitors and use that technology for their road cars. Todays racing is not as exciting because they keep decreasing the hp of the cars to reduce costs and improve safety.

  • @LeontariF1 Ok, well atleast it seems that you know something about ovals instead of just taking a 1 second look at it, dismissing it and bashing it for no reason. Yes cautions on ovals are annoying and sometimes are completely unnecessary. However, on top of luck the amount of cautions actually makes strategy harder. You have to constantly change strategy and calculate fuel after each and ever caution Dont forget predicting how many cautions there are. Sorry but to me that's more strategy

  • @thelizardfolk Ok yur an idiot because how many people have died in the sport does not judge how interesting the sport is.... Just because rednecks arent smart enough to make ovals safe

  • @KidStig So IndyCar drivers are rednecks? Too bad there's only 5 full time american indycar drivers and non of them are from the south.

    Who's the idiot now?

  • @LolaJudd shutup

  • Didnt see much of a battle between Kanaan and Pagenaud there.

Please tell me they didnt go fcy for a tiny bit of debris they are turnin into NASCAR
