Back in 1972, when this show started, it was soooo original and was such a positive model for kids. There was no E-mail back then, and Zoom had a neat way of getting people to remember their address: "Write Zoom (z double oh m) box 3-5-oh, Boston, Mass, ohhhhh two wuuuuuun three fourrrrrrr....Send it to Zoom!

i didn't know the Jefferson's were helping make this show possible? hopefully the GOP cuts funding for PBS...Seasame Street makes millions of dolalrs a year - they hardly need taxpayer support. that reminds me. since the taxpayers pay to put that show on the air, doesn't that give us ownership? when do we get our royalty checks?

If Shing-Ying's real name is Elena, why wasn't it Shing-Ying on the show? Stereotypical much? You can see it throughout the show. It's like they picked people with names that coincided with their race.

The really creepy thing to think about for me is that I am just barely younger than the kids on the show. I'll be 17 in just under a month and i still love this show. GO ZOOM.
