It was the drivers fault. No excuses about how hard his job is, or how many hrs he worked. Either do your job right or don't do it at all. I just had a friend ask about working for me plowing. I seen him drive a car, no chance he's getting behind the wheel of my rig. I require a clean driving record and I've yet to have a ins claim. It's that simple.

@pbee73 I would like to point out that in most cases there were people out side yelling at them to stop. Also the noise of those trucks hitting the car was so loud "not knowing" is a horrible excuse. You just sound dumb. Let me also point out this is a trash truck retrofitted with a snow plow it not loud nor is the blind spot excessive plus these people are for the most part driving the same routes they drive to pick up trash EVERYDAY. This is a case of pure laziness no matter how you spin it.

Plowing is VERY loud inside the cab. Visibility is often very low almost zero when it's night and snowing. Every street is different. Your looking out for people, especially kids playing in snow banks. Your looking for elevated sewer caps,pavement,curbs so that you don't destroy your plow a sure way to get fired. Your lucky if you don't have to go in reverse because your windows and mirrors will be fogged up or snowed over. Your working 8-36-when your doneshifts, depending on where you live
