I got this right, until the pattern stamp. I do it perfectly, but the line comes out messy. If you can tell me what brush you used, I'd be very thankful really. I wanna do this particular text, but...the last step really seems too hard for me. Thanks in future.

@AJFLORA1 nah you get the font file and you drag and drop it in the Font Folder located on Control Panel and its installed so Every program you open the font will be there

Go to window and make sure something like "navigator" cant remember name on the top of my head but make sure its check on.

How do you get that Little screen at the top right, it seems really helpful. and im also having the same problem. the pattern goes over the background layer, and the outer glow writing.

Hey been watching this video a million times over and cant figure out what im doing wrong, i get to just after i make the pattern for the first text type and i just cant seem to make a layer on top of only the text, when i click on the text layer and then click the icon for new layer, i then go to pattern fill and it just goes over everything. like it makes the layer the whole page and not just the text. help me?

Hi ok sounds like your using a too large brush perhaps? When you make the layer on top of the text layer you need to use a decent size brush and only colour in the bits you want, use the eraser to remove parts you dont. Hope this helps comment me back so i can help more.

Ye I get what your saying... I have adobe photoshop CS4 64bit, just making sure thats okay. But I get to the stage where I have the letters, and when you go and you just click new layer I did that and when you tried to fill in the pattern you had it so it showed up ONLY above the text and not on the black backround, I cant seem to make a layer over top of the text and not the whole backround.

3:40... its right when your saying make a new layer on top of the text. I can make a new layer but from what I see from your visual... it seems to make a layer where you can fill in the pattern but its surrounding ONLY the text and not the black backround.

i think i know what u mean, it just paints over the txt with like the white new layer, if so dont add a new layer add a vector mask to the font layer then use the clone tool, this is what i did to get the end result

Tried what you suggested. I dont know what is nothing works and its driving me nuts, its just one of those things. I realised the first error i have from the instructions is at 2:45 when he changes the outer glow, the outer glow me for me surrounds each letter and not the word. I set it to practice instead of the whole work practice having the outer glow its only each letter individually.

Im having the same problem. Whendo the clone pattern and try to put it over the first text it just covers the whole layers.

I dont understand this my photoshop doesn't have this problem ive tried to look into this and just cant find what it could be. I will continue to try but sorry i can help straight away. Perhaps just pause the video at important points and make click HD and make sure the settings are the same?

nice turorial, but when im doing the exact same colors like you mines go all wierd i have this a few weeks now but i don't know how to fix it. ALL the colors are all wrong. same thing is with glows and things like that i cant make glowing lines properly. my whole photoshop is messed up. please help me.
