  • @Jonesie501 yay drizzt! wanna see that shiz on the big screen some day. but daaaaang they better get the hottest combat choreographer on the face of the planet because drizzt boots are some tough boots to fill. 0.0 But I agree.. I can see drizzt being this quick and controlled and deadly, too!!

  • red guy: fuck! i accidentally slipped and stabed my partner in the face! yellow guy: gargle gargle

  • Even if that was scripted I will stay on those dudes friendly side

  • Howy Shi! That's pretty awesome! Even if it was coreographed.. I can easily imagine them getting poked several times on the face when they practiced!

  • Much better than pro-wrestling >_>

  • a real life rendition of chuchulain and shirou emiya :)

  • cmon guys cant we all get along??? stop fighting and go train

  • Finish Him!

  • I always start my fights with the other guy holding a spear to my neck

  • Practical or not, if someone can do this I'm not going to fight him. I'd rather run :(

  • at that range and cosidering the spear is made of wood i think real life swords wouldve won

  • @xTheDeathSaintx must spears are either coated with flexible metal or are made of it

  • heh i hate reading people who don't even know martial arts complain about how fake it is, It's an art!! imbeciles!!! have u ever joined these things? probably did and complained it was too hard and quited the next day

come on! says the people who said professional wrestling was real

people trained hard for this even if it's just scripted sparring and unlike pro wrestling Americans adore they actually get hurt by scripted spar

and yea it's a fight not a playful game of tag

  • My mind is already corrupted by anime. This vid makes me think of Archer and Lancer.

  • thats sick

  • 0:42 Slip Dash!

    0:44 Nimble Dash!

0:53 Spear Lann dodges into hitbox!

  • Obviously this is set up.

  • @killstealer4 You are set up. There is always a idiot to post a comment like your. It is obvious that you were set up to post this.

  • @newtubetubetube No bro. They freaking start in a lethal position. Its a routine. Its a show. Its a competition to see who has the best routine using those weapons. If you're so naive as to believe its an actual fight, please please go interact with humans and raise your EQ.

  • @killstealer4 I am not your bro, fuck off. I never made such claim. What is EQ? Did you mean IQ? If that the case maybe you should raise your own.

  • @newtubetubetube Silly child. You implied it. You called me an idiot when I said this was set up. When I said that it was set up, I meant that they were doing a routine for a competition.

And no, EQ is Emotional Intelligence Quotient. Its a measurement of how well you interact with others. And judging by how you're interacting with me, it seems your EQ is fairly low.

  • @killstealer4 You are indeed a idiot for calling this a "set up". It been month, i must have forgot. Shit, you are that stupid to return over this.

And btw, there is no such thing as EQ. Emotional Intelligence is EI and its measure is called EQ-i. That whole emotional intelligence thing is groundless pseudo science.

  • @newtubetubetube Lol I applaud you. You are one of the biggest trolls I've ever met. You're awesome. Please, continue trolling people over the net from under your bridge. Perhaps go browse b/ sometime again on 4chan.

Pseudo science you say? Well, have you ever met someone who's socially awkward? Perhaps someone like yourself. Those people have a low EQ.

  • @killstealer4 How one can interact with others is judged with empathy and compassion. Emotions are not the same things, these are feeling to push to action, set in motion.

But why bother explaining all this, you are just a dumb fuck who think he is always right.

  • um escorregão e dead :D

  • holy shit this looks like your watching it on fast forward

  • THAT WAS AWSOME!!!!

  • bunch of flashy shit no practicality in this at all. sux.

  • @NineTailsDemonFox it's not meant to be practical, the whole point of this competition IS the showy stuff, it focuses more on the art aspect of martial arts, contestants are judged on their levels of their control of speed, acuracy of movemnts and form. if you were expecting to see a real fight, that's what UFC is for

  • @Hongers1 UFC is two faggot rubbing on each other's oiled chest, following strict combat rules for a money. UFC is a low end job for knucklehead body builder(were high end is governor of California). There is noting further to real fight then UFC.

Enjoy the UFC as much as you like, this is fine. But don't fool yourself into thinking it is the real thing. UFC is entertainment, noting more.

  • Obviously some people were expecting to see an actual fight to the death here on youtube. These people have failed at the internet.

  • @jacksawild true

  • DAMN! I couldn't belive the jump right off the back haha

  • love the broadswords

  • It's like the chinese version of Medieval Times, I like it!

  • shouldnt the spear suppose be sharpen... cuz the guy with the double broadshow is like cutting that shit.... lol

  • awesome for everyone who says anything bad about this video deep down they wish they could do it......

  • Even though its a show they'll still beat the crap out of all of us

  • ugh, kung fu is freaking lame, shoto kan all the way!

  • @fenderdude64 lolwut

  • Amazing. My only complaint would be that I never liked how that type of sword seemed so wobbly... but the skill and timing and precision of the people was flawless.

  • @dasgregorian it still can cut. i've got a few myself.

  • all the broadswords ive seen in videos seem to have very wobbly blades

are they suppose to be like this?

  • @souske25 yup. swords used in performances like this are made that way so theyre safer and have a longer life. they will sometimes offer weapons that are used in martial arts in "spring" or "combat steel".

  • LMFAO nice belly flop dude!

  • some of you people kill me with this attitude like you have won sword fight after sword fight. If a man has that much control over their weapons...imagine attacking one of them, and the speed in which they would dispatch you with his handling of the two swords.

  • This may be a show form with certain things done only for display BUT look at the comfort they have with the wweapons, their body movement, not mention their speed and agility. it may be a show, but I have no doubt these two fellas would be raging terrors with sharps in a real life and death fight. this is very impressive I don't care what anyone says these guys are deadly if they want to be

  • jia you!

  • damn these guys must have the worst aim ever lol jk

  • GOO GUY WITH THE TWO SWORDS!

    =P

  • oh damn! lol

  • these guys would be good stunt men in movies

  • holy crap balls

  • that flip was awsome

  • holy crap!!!!

  • this is more show than practicality.

  • @paintdataint

    This is like 90% show.

Although the people who study these arts often do have a solid foundation and background in training as well.

Can't deny the athletics shown here though ;)

  • @Anathematicmusic Yup, this is 90% show. Where MMA is 100%. I would take the one with 10% real martial art any time.

  • @paintdataint that would be why it says demonstration under the info

  • @paintdataint It is more practical than absolutely all movies.

  • @paintdataint

    ORLY?

  • @paintdataint O RLY? I carry around two swords with me at all times. I'm pretty sure every knows it's more show than practicality but thanks for pointing out the obvious.

  • @paintdataint Dude, Dui Lian is a coreographed fight - there is no practicality. If you want practicality, do Sanda. Same shit, but real.

  • @paintdataint A lot of them can use their skills in real life too

  • @paintdataint it is that's why it's called dui lian

  • @paintdataint

    Of course !

Did you expect a real battle ?

  • Nice!

  • It was cool demonstration. I like how they were even. The spear used distance and the swords used. speed. The swords also weren't afraid of using repetitive attacks although looks monotonous he has a good chance of taking off the spearmans fingers. nice demo.

  • Some one fill me in is it a preformance or a compition either way it looks fucking awsome

  • wow, great routine, who cares if it could be used in real battle, it is an amazing display of athleticisim just the same

very cool, I love it and I'm sure they had fun planning and executing it as well!

  • What's the point of learning a martial art, then? Learn to dance, instead.

  • what martial art to do you study

perhaps you can enlighten us all with your videos

Oh, that's right, you don't HAVE any videos

you just sit on the sidelines safe from anyone criticizing you and don't risk ANYTHING

upload a video, I dare you, to show us how it's done or delete your comments

  • 'what martial art to do you study'

Taekwondo, Krav Maga, and have dabbled in Taijiquan, Muay Thai and European fencing. Not very good at any of them, but I don't delude myself about that and/or post amateur videos on Youtube for the peanut gallery. Neither do I insist that flashy, impractical dances are 'martial arts'. :)

    'delete your comments'

    Make me. :3

  • hahahhaha, who has their self-righteous panties in a bind now?

    Oh, pick me! I know!

    halfassedfart! that's who!

as you refer to the 'peanut gallery' I hope you include yourself in that

you also expose why you have not posted any videos, you are afraid of criticism!

    too funny!

you are lame and have nothing

show us what you say you know, or we will all assume you know absolutely nothing, which is probably the truth!

    :)

  • Heh, says the guy who came in all wound-up and ragey based on a perfectly valid comment.

  • Look, I studied "real" gongfu in Taiwan many years ago, so I agree that much of modern Wushu doesn't seem like real gongfu to those who have studied more serious martial arts.

But I think it is inappriopriate for someone to dis someone elses video when they don't have the balls to share their own.

And the athleticism displayed here is very real.

    My two cents, I'm done.

  • The lack of videos that I've posted does not prevent me from giving valid criticism.

If you'd seen my original response to the guy who posted the video, I acknowledged the physical prowess and dedication required to put up this performance.

What I disagreed with was this video being represented as 'wushu' and not 'dancing with SLOs'. It's a sportified dance with props, and you're a muppet to think otherwise. :)

  • @halfassedfart very interesting, the fact that you have not focused on one says alot about your knowledge about the arts. these athletes make it their life to practice this Martial art. i myself have actually gone to china and had to pleasure of training for a month with them. so before you discard this martial art as a dance, take into consideration that your "concentration" in one martial art (clearly not existing) wouldn't stop these 3 from literally raping you in the street. :-) thank you!

  • @ferrariiam Nope, the fact that I haven't focused on one says more about the lack of venues to train consistently than my knowledge.

Martial art? Really? Many traditional martial artists would take offense. Wushu in this form is a flashy dance. I don't deny the training or athleticism required to perform it, what I take issue with is effectiveness. If you want a Chinese martial art that allows you to rape people in the street, look at Hung Gar, CLF, Baji, taiji, xingyi etc. Not wushu. :3

  • @ferrariiam The fact that you think this is effective also says quite a bit about your martial education.

  • Well performed, amazing demonstration!

  • The wong brothers will also appear at your next birthday party or bar mitzvah for US visa and economy air.

  • Oh yes, I could. If I had the same amount of training and time these people had to put on performances like this. Only problem is that I don't, and I would much rather learn wushu as it was used.

I'm calling it as I see it. Demonstration wushu gives the public a false impression of the art as a flashy and meaningless dance ritual. The coordination, speed, control and trust are impressive, but what they're demonstrating is in no way representative of wushu used as a martial art.

  • I wanna learn kendo

  • why criticize something you can't even do

    you have no videos

even if you don't agree, it is much safer for you to dis them when you have no videos of your own to criticize, isn't it? :)

  • I can't and won't do that, because I practise an actual bloody martial art. Not flashy, demonstration wushu.

Wushu as it was used is a brutally effective martial art. This demonstration completely misrepresents its capabilities.

  • ooOOoo, sounds impressive!

    but I highly doubt it.

you can still upload a video and show us all about your 'bloody' art

surely you practice something without actually killing someone at every move?

even the deadliest art has lessons and forms of some sort.

please show us what deadly art you practice and we will all bow to your superiority.

you have NO excuse, either upload a video or shut up

  • Oh, so I *have* to upload a video, eh? Any criticism coming from someone who has a different point of view on sportified modern demonstration dances is irrelevant? Piss off, Mr Self-Rightous Fuckwit.

'even the deadliest art has lessons and forms of some sort'

Never claimed that they didn't, just that the bloody video here is a very poor demonstration of wushu as it was used. Learn to read already.

  • no stupid, you don't have to do anything.

but, did you realize that Youtube is a VIDEO sharing site? and not just a martial arts text based forum?

people share performances, how to vids, etc. or just vlog on their progress

then idiots like yourself wallow in and start dissing videos even though you have none of your own

That's stupid, and tells me you don't quite understand what Youtube is, or perhaps where you are, or maybe even your ass from a hole in the ground, hehe.

  • Hmm, tell me where the rules say that I'm not allowed to comment if I don't have any videos of my own.

Oh, wait, that's some arbitrary bullshit made up by a self-righteous tosspot who has an insecurity complex and needs to demonstrate his manliness and enormous e-penis to any passers-by.

'Post your videos if you have balls! I have videos, so I have balls! Yay!'

  • 0_o'

if 0:35 - 0:38 had gone wrong it could be nasty

  • Nicely done. Loved your grace and speed. Keep up the good work!

  • Wow, very well choreographed.

  • fascinating !

  • are you guys serious? of coarse its set up, its a fucking form. i swear, some people are so stupid they should kill themselves.

  • no shit rofl... some people are truly stupid

  • @ferrariiam alright settle down...

  • @sonic911 the funny thing is that i came back to reread my comment and i thought i was completely honest in my statement. and im pretty settled as is right now. :-) come on now, "is this real?"

  • @ferrariiam yea but i dont think i person killing them self is a proper response

  • @ferrariiam Blame it on the UFC.

  • @ferrariiam lmaoooo!

  • interesting discussion about real fight duration here :) i agree that in a real fight it should not take more than 5 seconds to incapacitate an oponent (by lock, pin, strangulation, KO, disabling injuries such as fractures or internal bleedings, or death) the fight shown here is something totally different. it is entirely choreographed and is meant to impress by executing a well-rehearsed routine in perfect style. Wushu can be used in a real fight, but as such it is never used in competition!

  • its like they knew each other's moves already

  • Who gives a crap how long a real fight wud last, its an ace demo just watch it and shut up

  • amazing, i wish i could have that mans sword skills

  • HOLY CRAP DUDE! lol i wish i could do all that :D

  • i think that the spear would win

  • lol the guy with the spear is shitting himself his like omfg

  • Hehe, this is nice. Those guys must have practiced like hell. And guys, a real fight wouldnt last for...like 15 seconds.

And weapons cant really tell if who would win. The wielder will decide ^_^

    Even a skilled man w/ a rake could defeat a beginner w/ a katana.

  • I think I real fight would last 5 seconds or less.

  • thats true most skilled fighters end fights very quickly becuase during ancient wars they can't sustain fight because it would kill there stamina and with thousands of people fighting at a time they had to make everything quick

  • Well in a life or death situation, you try to kill as fast as possible. There is a difference between sporting arts and combat arts. I knew a combat arts instructor and he said no real combat fight should last more than 4 seconds between properly trained experts. And after he showed me what he meant, I firmly believe that highly trained killers will end a fight within seconds.

  • best of youtube.

  • ok first off this fight is not real... second have any of you heard of R.A.Salvator? that guy fights like Drizzt Do'Urden... its bad ass

  • Well 1st off this is "Martial arts" more emphasis on the "arts" this is a demonstration of skill and control, choreogrpahy, and team work. The goal of this is not to kill or hurt anybody. If you are looking for that than go watch sanda or sanshou.

  • @fearless55 werd, they have to practice if they wanna use real swords

  • So he swings two swords at the same time repeatedly and shoots ice from his hands or what?

  • ok fearless I know that I was pointing that out to some guy who said some thing like "they didnt even hit each other" or some thing like that and Muffintops no Drizzt dosnt use magic so no ice shoots from his hands... hes just vary vary good with swords.

  • Oh, it seems you're right. I was just going off the one time I played as him in some video game a long time ago. Whoops.

  • @TheMasterMind6 Id say drizzt has more of a different approach, drizzt tends to aim towards tendons.

  • @thatkillerxyz that is true... I also wouldnt see Drizzt taking that long to kill some one who uses a spear :P

  • Awsome! =^_^=

  • I wish I knew how to make a face with a dropped jaw on the keyboard...

  • Wow this was awesome haha. I loved the way they put this together, must require a great deal of skill.

  • HOLY CRAP

  • if the handle on the spear was wooden then wouldn't the sword win since the stick does all the blocking? the swords are prob dulled tho...

  • LOL LOL LO LHAHAHAHAHAHA)))

    xD

  • Very good choreography, though the jumps were really unnecessary

  • if he hadnt jump the second time the sword would had gotten him on the back same with the last time the first was unnecessary

  • Its unnecessary but this is a demonstration so its made to look necessary

  • Even so, "unnecessary" movements can be used to confuse and intimidate opponents.

  • The most effective martial arts...are the ugliest. However I do see your logic in your words. Drunken fist is based upon "unnecessary movements " for confusion and desption. Im gussing this is Wuhsu?

  • that cannot be impromptu

  • ...wow

  • ^.^ awsome

  • is that a 5 for difficulty and 4.6 for execution or 4.6 for difficulty and 5 for execution? either way, freakin' awesome!!!

  • 0:35 to 0:36

if it staged...imagine if he/they messed up...

    still...insane!!!

  • Awesome, just awesome.

  • Apparently using a spear similar to a pool cue is common in Chinese spear fighting. And it also seems like the dao wielder is flailing around.

Still, their speed is quite good, and their timing also excellent. Not to mention the tricks they do mid-fight. 5 stars.

  • Can Wushu be used in real combat?

  • You can try to fight with a man who use wushu.

    Hahahahaha.....

  • i think he will win.

  • This video is a performance of wushu, just like the beautiful gymnastics, and umpires will give a grade for them.

Plus, there are many struggle styles of wushu. Wing Chun is one of those. Bruce Lee have studied it before.

  • Wing Chun and wushu are completely different. Wushu means outside school it's what you show as a demonstration of your skill.

  • nice i like it .......

But is it me or the spear was kinda short??

  • nobody can beat chinese people...
