I killed him earlier today by stand ~20 meters away casting poison cloud on him then waiting for it to expire and casting it again. He didn't move a muscle, just stood there slowly dying from poison.

Alright so a low level, who is built around having demonbrandt at a low level, how would he go across getting 25% off this motherfucker. From these videos I can only think to not get hit, probably would die so a vanguard type deal, and maybe hit him with spells? Thinking of a royalty start off, because of the magic, and then just pour levels into strength and vitality for a while. I've only had this game for... 4 days (when this message was sent) and I need a head start in this game.

@tacticianSHG If your goal is only to take demonbrandt use the winged spear from 1-2 and poke him then roll back asap. He's not really aggressive if you don't want to kill him.

If you want to kill him (which is harder because below 50 % he is quite badass), just use the run away till he doesn't chase you anymore-sneak behind him and backstab with the thief ring equiped (you can find it behind ostrava spamming point in 1-1).

For the duel to the death, If you have Death cloud, be far enough away from him to cast it but not close enough for him to get aggressive, then make a cup of tea, go and get shopping etc, fight over. It takes a while but that's how I killed him first time. No element of risk involved.

The easiest way to kill Duran is with fall damage. Use stormruler to push him past where he'd normally be willing to go, constantly knocking him back.

There's a ledge you can drop down from the siege weapons area to get a crossbow or bow or something. Push him down there, and when he tries to walk back to his spawn he'll fall to his death...it's MUCH easier to push him there than to where you'd normally try to drop the red eyes knight, and consistent too.

if you are the host of the co op game it counts you just get less souls depending on how many phantoms you have, if you are summoned to another players world and you beat the boss you only get a fraction of the souls and you get your body back

I was able to get Demonbrandt with normal melee but then he 2Handed and 1-hitted me even in Physical form (ca. 900 HP).

After a few tries I gave up, went cheap, casted Death Cloud and watched him die because of the Black Death.

@w0lfie292 Well its a weapon with magic dmg so it needs a high magic stat thing is though its never a strong weapon, any Crescent or Moon will quite easily overpower it if your looking for magic dmg

I have a question about Ostrava. I can't find him in 1 - 1 or 1 - 2. I see him sitting down in the Nexus though. So does he still roam around or do I have to kill him in the Nexus ?

@OneTrueAce Well when you enter 1-3 he should dissapear from the nexus and start walking round in 1-3 then afteryou save him in 1-3 and if you dont finish 1-3 he should reappear in the nexus if you finish 1-3 then hell move straight on to 1-4, the last item you get from him is a Pure Clearstone, so killing him in the nexus isnt a bad idea

@TheExtremenator while he was helping you in 1-x, did you accidentaly hit him in a fight again other enemies, and he said something like "Wait! What are you doing? I thought we were allies!"? If yes, he became hostile towards you, and will not follow you in the Nexus

im so angryi have pure white character tendency but ostrava disappeared from my game i saved him in 1-1, 1-2 and he was in the nexus then he wasnt there in 1-3 and he wasnt in 1-4 but he is also gone from the nexus there was no body in 1-3 so he couldnt have died grr in my next playthrough im gonna throw him to the dreglings in 1-1 with a backstab and leave him for dead >:@

@DonMatteo1310 Hehe in ng+ i kept my promise to myself and backstabbed him off the platform into the dreglings it was very entertaining to watch him fight off like 8 dreglings but amazingly he survived i did nothing but backstab him into the pit and after he killed the dreglings he went on to say "my thanks for your brave rescue" :L but he was nearly dead at this stage and died at the blue eyed knight outside but he put up a good fight against him i was impressed :P

@jellybean There are checkpoints you know... The first checkpoint is down the stairs in the tower before the red eyed knight. Also you find a ring here which increase your hp by 25%, which is regarded as the best ring in the game if your in fanthom form.

After this you can call for help, or be the help in order to learn the game, if you place Blue Fanthom stones at the beginning of each level, you get the stone from the demon maiden, also you can level up your hp, which helps alot at the start

I messed up the backstabbing method, so I just got him to running charge me past the first catapult, I then ran between him and the catapult and used the light push to stagger him back and then get in a few jabs with my spear. Then I'd keep pushing him, and as long as he doesn't get into that corner room again he'll never attack or heal. That's another easy way to kill him.

I would recommend using Garl Vinland's full set of armor for this, and a long, heavy sword (such as an upgraded claymore or great sword). Keep your shield up just in case he might hit you and counter him whenever he attacks. It might take awhile, but if your patient and can keep a good rhythm, you can beat him fairly easily.

@muffinboy101010 the fastest way to kill him is to run up and back stab him while he is talking then he will repeat what he said before then you back stab him again and he repeats the same thing without ever attacking unless u miss a back stab and hit him normaly or let him finish talking even after he says you've impressed him he still repeats the same thing and u can keep back stabbing him i killed him at level 15 with the blessed mace in 5-1 now i have his armor no invader can do much damage

he will let you hit him down to half health here's the trick though in the first one you might of though he was weak but SURPRIZE even stronger! don't bother trying to kill him at first just dodge his attacks un still he uses his ONLY new moon grass cus when you close to killing him.... at first when you open the door he'll be saying all that shit and right k.

right here he is not fighting his strongest this is reccommened to know.

use any weapon you please make sure you have a small sheild because you'll be able to parry him keep parrying him then stab untill he says you can take the sword.

take the sword and equip it

I know a really easy way to kill this dude take the storm ruler and keep using the r1 attack which will make him go flying. just keep hitting him all the way to the room where you get the cling ring and knock him all the way down which will instantly kill him.Also he stops attacking you once you get him on the bridge with the catapualt
