This is a brilliant game, and probably even superior to the first. The final two levels aren't anything to shout about, but the rest is excellent. I managed to pick it up for £5 online. Best 5 pounds I've ever spent!

@TheTYfable do yourself a favor and pick up Penumbra: Overture, one of the best games I ever played. It's a realy scary game with a very compelling story if you get past the first 10min or so. If you compleated that one follow it up with Penumbra: Black Plauge for a greater scare and a nice follow up at the story. Penumbra: Requiem comes after, get that if you realy find the story intresting, it don't ruin the story that some might say but it wont add alot either. Why are you still reading this

Hate hate hate!! Where's the REAL horror games?! A suggestion from me: What if the player is in a haunted mansion, late 19th century. Doors that opens/closes, footsteps are heard from the floor above, spiderwebs here and there, screamings from different places.. Siluettes (ghosts) can be seen sometimes, a little everywhere. With a creapy story - a murderinvestigation maybe? family tragedy? A mother murdered here little children and buried them inside the walls of the mansion! >:-D *shivers* o.O
@Spyflugan91 There are games that use this conventions already such as Amnesia, Alone in the Dark, Condemned, etc. But I completely agree that games need to continue these ideas. Most horror titles are trying too hard to be original and forget that we just want to be running about a haunted location getting shit scared. But I would totally check out Fatal Frame and Amnesia if you want these kinds of conventions.
I played only part 2, Its probably one of the scariest games Ive played lol. Most games have a jumps, but this one is constant jumps, I couldn;t even anticipate where they are coming from..so basically your gonna get scared constantly just based on that. The enemies are actually pretty terrifying, even the regular dudes. The atmosphere is really really good, cause the graphics are actually pretty top notch, theres ALWAYS sounds, and possibility of jumps at every turn!

@mattgutt010 The city in the Condemned games are based on New York City, it was first set there but then they made it a fictional city instead, calling it Metro City. But it is like a dirtier version of NY.

I bought this game at a used bin for $5 today. I put it in without much of any expectations, cause it was $5. 10 minutes into the game, I was scared shitless. lol. I luvvvthe JUMPS!! the atmosphere, the graphics are actually very very good. I dont know wut else to say, but if you like unepected jumps, LOTS OF THEM. you wanna be scared shitless..this is the one. I feel like im playing a first person silent hill..insane friggin game!!!!!!

Hate hate hate!! Where's the REAL horror games?! A suggestion from me: What if the player is in a haunted mansion, late 19th century. Doors that opens/closes, footsteps are heard from the floor above, spiderwebs here and there, screamings from different places.. Siluettes (ghosts) can be seen sometimes, a little everywhere. With a creapy story - a murderinvestigation maybe? family tragedy? A mother murdered here little children and buried them inside the walls of the mansion! >:-D *shivers* o.O

@Spyflugan91 There are games that use this conventions already such as Amnesia, Alone in the Dark, Condemned, etc. But I completely agree that games need to continue these ideas. Most horror titles are trying too hard to be original and forget that we just want to be running about a haunted location getting shit scared. But I would totally check out Fatal Frame and Amnesia if you want these kinds of conventions.

I played only part 2, Its probably one of the scariest games Ive played lol. Most games have a jumps, but this one is constant jumps, I couldn;t even anticipate where they are coming from..so basically your gonna get scared constantly just based on that. The enemies are actually pretty terrifying, even the regular dudes. The atmosphere is really really good, cause the graphics are actually pretty top notch, theres ALWAYS sounds, and possibility of jumps at every turn!
