Problem is in 0:44 the police dog attacks its handler. These dogs have 2 modes....observing and attacking. Military Police Dogs are like water faucets...on or off. They are trained to work.

That is what you may consider a "hard" dog. It doesnt mean he isnt obedient, he was still "in drive". It would be like sending you into a large crowd to fight and your dad walking up behind you and grabbing you to stop you, and you turning around and decking him b/c you thought it was somebody else.

@dopedog52 that's why PEOPLE are the ones who are supposed to be trained to practice discipline, and even in that kind of state we have the capability to stop that state of mind in an instance. Dogs aren't quite like that, but people can make them that way, by their actions and their demeanor. Calm gives calm.

They are trained to do those things. the dogs come from Holland where they are already trained to a point, but then we bump up the training a bit here.

This is the Malinois dogs from the French Police anti-terrorist Unit called R.A.I.D. for Recherche Assistance Intervention Dissuasion.

There's also that kind of dogs in the G.I.P.N (Groupe d'Intervention de la Police Nationale) ; and in the G.I.G.N (Groupe d'Intervention de la Gendarmerie Nationale).

RAID and GIPN are Police units, GIGN is a Gendarmerie Unit part of the army ; and there's also the COS (Commandement des Opérations Spéciales), the special forces group from the french army.
