Bangkok - Phuket and Bangkok - Chiang Mai v.v. are the domestic money makers for Thai Airways. The 744 flights connect to European flights arriving early morning and departing late evening. Thai operates a total of 8 to 10 daily rotations to these cities, almost all operated by widebodies. The 744 flights I took were always sold out.

i wonder why thai uses 744's for this route... wouldnt it be more convinient for a 737 or something smaller???
