I'm a fan of the Sims 2 too! I really love all the improvements that elevated it miles above the original. And, yes, the new WooHoo animation--with fireworks, rising steam and hands and feet poking out from under the bedcovers--is one of the many improvements I enjoy. :-)
First Place still goes to all the facial expressions though. No offense, Woohoo animation. ;-D
the first sims was great!!! i played ALL THE TIME, even played sims online for about a year, my husband still plays (we've had the accounts since feb of 2003), but yeah, sims2 really really rocks...
Ooh, you played TSO too? I was in the Beta! I was playing Xerviakk the Raider on...I think it was Jolly Pines. I made her with the red robot body and the purple alien head, and I made her home look like a crashed spaceship complete with black "burn trails" behind the thrusters and flowerbeds where the skidding spaceship pushed up the topsoil...it was great! I got a Simmy statue for being in Beta, but then I just lost my love for TSO and quit. It just didn't measure up to the regular game. :-/
i remember back in may of 2003, we took a week off from work, but we didnt go anywhere. we stayed home, ordered pizza almost every night, ate ice cream, drank and played TSO the whole week. now THAT was fun!
I've jsut started recording videos from TS2 as well, but I went all the way through a whole bunch of cool events (Lilandara pushing Count Greg Wilkie on a swing, Lilandara influencing Contessa Whatsherface to put the vampire bite on Patrizio Monty, influencing Patrizio to drink Vamprocilin-D, Lilandara's first kiss with Yvonne...) but I didn't know you had to enlarge the video window first. Yep...ruined. The new ones look good though.
