  • why is sittin' on tha' toilet in my suggestions? lmao good movie though

  • Why would anyone like this movie. The Nazi's treated these people and this is 110% wrong. I'm just terrified. This is worse than torture.

  • im am part germin but I'm against all of this.....i dislike the fact that humans can treat other human beings like this...it is hard to understand but rote in hell natzis

  • My German Class started this and then my substitue rewinded it so we had to start over... which was stupid... Anyway I think this movie is really great! And plus its school appropriate, even though if they had made it more realistic we wouldn't have gotten to watch it :(

  • If I was the pregnant mother, I would know my baby wouldnt survive. And if I had her neither would I. I would kill the baby. I know its cruel. Im sorry.

  • @ABChorror123 Cruel, maybe, but seeing what they would have done to the baby would have been worse....I would have done the same thing.

  • @tmwalkerm I would take a belt and wrap my stomach real tight. Thats why I think abortions are wrong also/

  • @ABChorror123 that would have killed the baby, interesting comment from someone who is against abortions....but thats fine, you're entitled to your opinion :). And really, that movie was so unrealistic it was ridiculous, they didn't have belts, or shoes, socks, coats, or anything like that. There's another movie out there called "Out of The Ashes" that's about a doctor that aborted babies in the holocaust, thereby saving the mother's lives. Intesting to watch but very controversial.

  • @tmwalkerm No, if you read the previous comments, you would understand. Before I said that I would kill the baby with a belt. I know its cruel but I would not survive as well/ At least it wasnt born yet. but also thanks very much for the movie. I always like a good film.

  • @tmwalkerm They need just to have those so this stays appropriate in school. We all know they had no clothing at all.

  • Sarah is adorable. :(

  • wait what?? the actress died too??

  • Comment removed

  • - i didnt even know she died !

  • @janelis0120 me 2!!!

  • EVERYBODY SAYING IT NOT EXACTLY LIKE THE BOOK

    its BASED on the book....

how can they make a short book into an hour and a half long movie,,, they have to add scenes.

  • is the wizard of oz mentioned in the book as hannah talks about it in the movie??

  • this movie is unrealistic

  • @johncashrocks221 As is timetravel, but I think they're trying to appeal to a larger audience, but many of the facts int he movie (historically, not from the book) are correct.

  • when i saw this for the first time with my friends, i was the only one who knew right away that hannah was talking about the Wizard of Oz at the beginning of this part :) this is such a sad movie :(

  • rly youtube.....how r u gonna pull the shittiest boy band in the world big time rush out of this movie.....oh youtube and ur silly suggestions

  • is that a teletubbie at 3:58? lol

  • @milaroos looks like it ahaha! they were also converse in the movie Marie Antoinette !

  • @nikkie3951 lmao

  • so im siiting here watching the movie movie right? im like crying my eyes out and, all of a sudden, i look over to the suggestion videos, and i see "bruno mars:just the way you are" and i burst out laughing...lmao!

  • @nikkie3951 my suggestion video is great depression facts..... k? lol thats nice.....

  • @nikkie3951 oh my gosh! same here but in the videos on the side the video "sittin on a toilet" is on there

  • I thought this was a grate movie!!

  • omg

  • Shit man, this is gonner be the USA FEMA camps in a couple of years and all the people saying the germans should of stood up and fought are gonner sit there an do JACK SHIT. History goes round and round. SAD.

  • the reason why the men have curls on there side of there hair is becuz of there religion no duhhhh

  • i am not a Jew so i really don't know about them. But i have always askes myself why the men have those curls each side of there ear? Please someone answer my question.

  • @tanishaAM that was the style back then...lol

  • @hetomi1I ITS STILL IS THE STYLE NOW TOO

  • @tanishaAM google it, i am a jew and they are called payers

  • @tanishaAM

    religious reasons...

  • @tanishaAM i am crying just watching this

  • Every Passover, the Jewish People might mention a word of thanks to the British civilians, who died in the Blitz, for 5 years, when severely outnumbered, their Country alone, stayed courageous, would never surrender. At that time, America was not going to help, even as F.D.R. implored them, it took Pearl Harbor to awaken the might of America. This film is Oct., Pearl was Dec.!

  • she told the wizard of oz only to esther, rachael, shiffre, and yentte. and that was before they even got to the wedding not while they were in the camps

  • rip in heaven brittany murphy you will always be missed by your family, friiends and fans.

  • makes me cry

  • @maddok666 thats really fricken rude of you to say that.......

  • @maddok666 alot of members of my family were killed in the holocaust and my grandmother was very lucky to escape on the kindertransport, that's one of the most immature things you could possibly say.

  • @maddok666 what a horrible thing to say. D:

  • i feel bad for that mean who shouted "ariel, they're taking us to the gas!"

    stupid nazis >=(

  • how miny parts r there n the movie

  • this movie takes place at auschwitz in poland it says it in the book they mention in the book the arbeit macht frei sign which means work will set u free

  • This is not set in any camp. Many camps had signs like that, including Dachau concentration camp, Gross-Rosen concentration camp, Sachsenhausen, and the Theresienstadt ghetto. The nazi's used to degrade the jews. It was everywhere. The author never mentions a camp name, because she didn't want to hinder the true stories of those in the camps.

  • this is nothing like the book!!!! its not the same atmosphere or anything no gitl no shumel what were they thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @iluvthetannerfamily some of the names got changed.

  • concentration camps in 2nd world war were in germany and eastern europe (eg. Poland), however america did have camps for japanees people during the 2nd world war

i think this story is really sad and i really wish that nothing like this will ever happen again, i wish human would concentrate on love instead of hate

i wish we would learn of history not just the facts but how to make our world a better place

  • There were no concentration camps in America. However, there were internment camps, were Japanese Americans were held. My guess is, this story took place in Poland, or somewhere else in eastern Europe.

  • @DrEaMsOfAnOvEl its in poland, it mentions that earlier on

  • thats right there were no concentration camps in america.. but where does this story take place? where do rivka and her mother live?

  • if this was a concentration camp in America, Then Probably some of them will have either seen or read the wizard of oz, Since the movi came out in 1932 i think. ( This is not sopossed to be a rude comment )

  • They're weren't Concentration Camps in America lol. They were only in like Europe haha. The Americans wouldn't of let this happen lol they had no idea until later this wasn't supposed to be rude either they're just wasn't any camps in america. mostly europe

  • there were concentration camps in America. Not Death Camps though, there are differences between concentration camps and death concentration camps. Internment camps are the same as concentration camps, haven't you heard of japanese internment camps in America? or German ones?

  • There is a diffrence between and Internment camp and a Concentration camp. The two occurences don't even compare. The japenese internment camps were not concentration camps.

  • @givepropstotherich The Wizard Of Oz came on the screens in 1939 but not tryin 2 b rude just 2 let u know and i am not calling u stupid i am really not

  • @joestrummerfanxx1 the point is that the people havent heard the story and she has because she is from the future. it isnt soposed to have come on screen yet.

  • @IHateNichole337 what r u talkin about?

  • this movie is so sad''/

knowing that these people dont care,

and they killed alll of these people.

    thats horrible.

  • aww, when she told them The Wizard of Oz

  • @gh0stmc how do you expect them to sing without getting beaten?

  • RIP Brittany Murphy.

    you're missed <3<3

  • @chelsraquel WAIT WHO IS THAT

  • @chelsraquel Um, I am not sure who is Brittany Murphy, but all of these actors in this movie were great, so, RIP Brittany Murphy. And then any one else who died that was in this movie.

  • Comment removed

  • @1Koakuma1 Are you saying that because she was an actress it means that her death doesn't matter because she played a roll in a film that tried to raise awareness about what happened to the jews? Thats a stupid thing to compain about. I don't think there's many people watching this who don't feel bad for what happened but for the most part the actress is what we know and in our lifetime.

    Don't be so bloody stupid.

  • @chelsraquel she died?

  • @deimoscrrazy 2 years ago, what planet have you been living on?

  • R.I.P Brittany Murphy

  • So they prayed and thanked YHVH for the fleas. The next day, they heard the SS officers marching through on the rounds when they would try and catch the Jews worshipping and to take their holy books and punish them. The Jews in the cabin overheard the officers talking. One said to the other—no, dont go in that cabin. It is infested with fleas.

  • There's a story about a prison camp where the Jews were not allowed to study Torah. The camp was made up of cabins. One cabin was infested with fleas. The fleas bit and caused horrid itchy welts. They all suffered, especially the children. The rabbi who was in that cabin said that they should pray a prayer of thanks. No matter how bad something is they should be thankful for it. One woman insisted they should not include the fleas. Yes, the rabbi insisted they should be thankful for the fleas.

  • 3:27 the dude looks fine...

  • yeah i like the book a lot better....also....why didnt these people know about the wizard of OZ...i know it was in another country but i dont think the book was....as a matter of fact neither was the movie haha well at least she didnt tell them a scary story... like the plot to "bring it on"

  • Lots of people couldn't aford books at that time. and it all depends on when the book was published

  • I don't care what some people say this movie is well made and even though it might be historically incorrect it does the holocaust justice. For someone to say that it makes the holocaust as no big deal they clearly have issues and don't understand the true emotion of this movie.

  • i don't think its possible for a movie to 'do the holocaust justice'

  • @shiftyLN Schindler's List, is the best one that i've seen

  • @shiftyLN you are so right. I am crying just watching this

  • @shiftyLN The holocaust doesn't deserve justice...it was a horrible act by a horrible man.

if the holocaust was given justice, it would be considered legit. and it was a completely illegitimate act

  • It doesn't do the Holocaust any justice though, and as a historian I find it sad that it doesn't. I would encourage you to read a book called "Survival in Auschwitz" by Primo Levi. His firsthand account of his experience in Auschwitz makes this movie look like Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

This movie is sad, yes, but it doesn't even scratch the surface, and it kind of almost insults the Holocaust in my opinion. The historical problems of this movie almost make it a sad joke.

  • @soniamas so true.

  • This is a good Movie, but I'm sorry, It does the book no justice. I read the book for school and loved it. So I saw ther was a Movie and decided to watch it. And the book was better. But then again, it almost always is...

  • why do people have to be so full of hatetred :'(

  • @emogall100

    Good question!

  • how can u say that about the jews they did not deserve this at all the only reason this happen to them is because of adlof hitler and he was a evil man. so how dare u say that this was there falut and how this movie makes it seem like this was no big deal u just think that because you are a ingnorant son of a fucking bitch and fa fukings asshole for thinking this and saying it to others

  • Comment removed

  • terwonick u can suck my dick you fuckin nazi douche bag!!!

  • @terwonick

Me thinks that you should be ashamed of yourself for your attitude.

  • its kind of hard 2 tel them apat

  • i hate this movie.

how could they cut out Gitl??

    shes the main character!

    sad sad

  • your right everyone, skin color, or the way you talk or do things does NOT matter at ALL!!! this is so rong, i cant imagiane how they felt, they must have been so scared, so bad. i cant even think about it.

  • i cried when i got home from school the other day 1 because i saw the end and 2 because some kid thought he was funny and said "i am a jewish nazi" and if i was the teacher hearing that i would have given him 10 demerits

  • i watched it in school to. i didn't see the end because i went on a field trip the last day we watched it. so now i'm trying to see it. also if you like this holacust movies theres one called the boy in the striped pajamas. that movie is so sad.

  • the boy in the stripped pajamas was the saddest movie I have ever seen. It broake my heart. What a powerful story.

  • thats a situation where the book AND movie are brilliant and book is very faithful to the movie, of course some parts are innacurate but the author meant for it to be a fable, so it didn't need to be completely correct.

  • I'm talking about the boy in the striped pajamas

  • yeah the book and movie were so similar! I agree the fence was very innacurate but then the story would not be able to take place.

  • yeah, i knew the fence part was wrong but I didn't really care cuz the story itself is so powerful and I just loved the movie! Despite the sadness!

  • The Holocaust was horror;J can`t imagine herself in this place.

  • were watching this movie in chool right now and i wanted to watch the ending so i started it from the begining this movie makes me wanna cry its sad just because there a different religiong doesnt mean "Shit" just because were different color still doesnt mean nothing this is a sad movie :{ Thumbs up {:!

  • oops i mean "School"

  • Its sad the way all these people treat jew because of their religion........

  • The guys r gonna get caught and the baby's coming! I love this movie even tho it has pain and fear and sadness its EPIC

  • i thought they did keep some young children alive, and had like an orphanage for them. i watched a doc on the holocaust and when it was talking about the liberation it said how many children in one of the many camps were alive and how they were orphans...yadadada

  • Do you know of a well-known doll maker named Magda Watts? She was a Holocaust survivor who visit my synagogue and told us that when she was taken to the camp she was placed in a separate area for the younger Jews. It was her doll making talent that saved her.

  • DOH i didnt make it a reply. oh wells

  • omg i cannot even imagine having to give birth like that. all of this... it just must have been awful

  • "Look at me and I can hear everything you cannot say." at 8:15. I love this quote. It is so poignant and yet so poetic.

This is such a great, melancholy movie.

  • omg same

  • i love this movie it makes me feel like ive relived the holocaust and i can imigane giving birth like that

  • Young children like the one in this movie where already in the gas chambers not saved.

  • I'm watching the real movie right now.

but what is the name of the pregnant woman?

  • aww she told them wizard of oz

  • is she avin an abortion or giving birth?

  • birth

  • i could never imagine giving birth like that!

  • airol or whateva is hot!!

  • man this is so sad!!

  • this movie had really good potential to been great i wish the script for the actors was better
